I have recently discovered Cat Martino. She has footage on her Myspace of a show, while singing live she drops and records harmonies and backgrounds which she then incorporates into the song. She does this live; it is fantastic.

THE ASSISTANT-we'll make the paths by walking LP (the masterpiece from these geniuses. hardcore where each song is like 5 different songs moving in and out of each other. a cacophony of discordant beauty.)

I'm going back and revisiting the Romeo and Juliet soundtrack.
It's like I'm a moody lovesick teenager all over again!

A leaked version of the new Autechre album. Difficult , occasionally painful , yet ultimately rewarding.....insert metaphor here.

@Joe.Distort: Reading your playlist you might want to check out Paintbox and Warhead if you haven't already, two great band from Japan. Also you mentioning COMBATWOUNDEDVETERAN made me dig out my Infest vynil, i'm not too sure why.

    Foxy Shazam

QueenAdreena - I recently discovered them. The singer and the guitarist were in Daisy Chainsaw. QueenAdreena updates and improves on that.

just saw a band called darla farmer and some friends of my boyfriend's, born empty, saturday.
darla is weird kinda folky indie stuff. they have a brass section, and that always gets my attention.
born empty is about the coolest power-pop band i've ever seen.

    also got a free cd from a guy i hadn't seen in a while. he's a rapper.
