If that's a transmitter/antenna on page one is it a psychic transmitter and if so did it just transmit Luke fingering his hole for all the future to see?

Oh and of course Luke will take the negative view that it's all for nothing. Entirely missing the fact that the future angels have achieved some sort of progress/higher state and perhaps redeeming their past mistakes in whole or part...intriguing possibilities here.

    *sad laugh* heh*sniffle*

Among the many things Kait has on her mind regarding Jack: she' probably also annoyed that he took on her police enforcer role when she wasn't around. Maybe that will teach her the value of deputies and finding people she can trust.

Week rolled by with a tidal of wave of in-going info and thoughts. I have stuff to do for the rest of the day but I really wish I could take the time to sit somewhere quiet and process before commencing my own tidal wave of out-going ideas and action.

    Chair leg of truth!

Bobsyuncle, I will give you EVERY money if you never mention Luke fingering his hole again.

    What a spectacular six pages!

I can't believe how late I am with this, but doesn't KK's "...and nearly killed me" justification ring a bit hollow, given... three weeks of Luke talking after he was dead?

Yes, very much beginning to dislike KK. Being hotheaded and holding grudges doesn't seem like a good combination for one who wields potentially infinite power. It's certainly as dangerous as someone who is calculatingly evil, this much is for sure.
    • CommentTimeJun 11th 2010
Maybe KK doesn't yet accept that she's immortal - certainly it hurt and was scary like it *might* kill. Furthermore, Luke *did* try to kill her. That he's since learned that he can't is besides the point.

Also he did need to just shut the hell up.

Also he did need to just shut the hell up.
Despite the fact that he's echoing things that 'Kady and Mark have already brought up, plus Karl and Kirk have discussed at length when they learned that Mark was still alive?

The fact that the Angels constantly refuse to listen to themselves goes a long way to showing how petulant and insular they still are, all of them, collectively and individually. They may be trying to do Big Things, but they're still kids, and they still act as such. I can't wait til they're all grown up and they can have a conversation without it devolving into someone getting bashed on the head with a chair or getting a building dropped on them.

Dislike KK? I dont know, I dig the whole hot headed thing combined with the obvious fact she loves a good drink and what ever comes with it, The whole thing started with KK waking up in bed with an unknown partner. I cant hate her, I relate to her to much. And you know, she has purple eye's. The character screams hot. Well, in a "pull my hair and spank me from behind" kind of way.

That said, what a perfect last panel for #100!
Freak Angles lets me know its time to enjoy the weekend.... what a kick in the nuts.

Congratulations on episode 100! Kait's obviously miffed about not getting to dish out 'THE LAW', but contrary to other people's diminishing view of KK I think her chairing of Luke was justified, if only because it'll take ages to resurrect the steam-bike-copter. Luke's insight has been awesome throughout the past few weeks and his realisation could, potentially, shift a few other people's perspectives. However, I'm quite interested to find out:

    a) What's Sirkka going to do now seeing as her role hasn't been massively significant to anyone other than Jack & a bunch of bed bound drones.
    b) Where the hell's Connor gone & is he alright?
    c) What's going to happen to Mark?
    d) Is this the part where Kait confesses to having always loved Jack and tries to shag his brains out now that the pretty one's out of the way?

The week has been long but tolerable in small portions - life goes on and FreakAngels Friday is always good. Hope everyone has a Great weekend!

In the future, courses will be taught on Mr. Duffield's use of perspective and panel flow for narrative emphasis.

Though I don't usually participate on these threads, 'cause I don't know that I have a whole lot to add (and I'm lazy), I've motivated myself to say: 1) Warren and Paul, thanks for/congrats on 100 excellent episodes; and 2) Paul, your work on Luke's monologue in the last few episodes has been really outstanding.

    noble and self-sacrificial monologue

More like "self-serving". I might have kicked him (Jack) myself.

Kait knew exactly what she was going to do before she even saw him.

Unlike rickiep00h and some others, I cannot dislike KK for bashing Luke. As a tech geek myself I would feel really ticked getting my prize ride shot out from under me. We all also might just pause to think of the state of mind that the angels in that room other than Luke might be in. Like, "what is this zombie-thing that is among us?", "That can't be Luke, he's dead", etc. Really, is there any reason for them to believe that the Luke-thing is really Luke-the-freakangel? Finally, to Duffield and Ellis - what a head-bashing ball-busting start to the new sequence - FANTASTIC!

@adam lucas - "Luke is the man"? seriously bro, you got issues. Mind controlling and raping chicks doesn't make you the man, it makes you a pathetic tosser.

I was fully prepared to hate whatever Kait was going to do, then she did what she did, and I loved it!

Happy 100th to the best thing on the interweb!
