Okay, so you know from the R/R thread New Worlds that he was working on a portrait for me. It's now done!
I'm incredibly happy with this, I have to tell you. I started out asking just for a simple villain or hero portrait, then dinosaurs were introduced (The whole Ankylosaurus situation was Mike's brilliant idea.), which of course necessitated wolves and wenches. And my deceased dog Basco. At this point, the three sisters of fate (my wife, her sister, and a dear friend of ours) were needed to watch over the proceedings. Oh dear, Mike must have though, this is very very serious... I better add a tortured comedy sidekick. Boom, Andre Navarro, looking decidedly unhappy with the situation.
Mike's doing commissions for people, and I highly recommend using him! He loves him some crazy ideas! ^_^ I'll leave it up to him to tell you his prices and such.
I debated with myself whether I should put this in the Artists' thread or in a new thread, but you do encourage making threads to pimp your stuff, so I thought I'd make one to pimp Mike's stuff.
Mike is an absolutely phenomenal artist. And I don't say that just because he drew me slimmer than I actually am (while managing to nail my usual mood). Really, though: simply phenomenal.
Here's one I did last week for my local comic shop owner. He posted it in his shop, and I have picked up two small pending gigs from it already :) This kinda stuff is fun, makes for good gifts, and can be turned out in an afternoon.
Cheers man! I love drawing for Whitechapel'rs- always fun stuff, great ideas that are a pleasure to work with. I have a piece for @oldhat and another for @icelandbob in the works similar to the stylings of the Magnulus one above, (but they've been temporarily sidelined during my recent job hunting efforts).
Mike I will also make contact with you for a proposal. I'm moving to another city on monday and will take some time for me to settle down, as soon as I do that I will contact you.
By the way, my rate are whorishly low right now :) In recent days I have traded sketch cards for sandwiches... and I used my fee for this piece to pay my last telephone bill ;)
