It's Friday, it's FREAKANGELS: In which everyone has had a very long day.

As have I, actually -- which sucks a bit since I've only been up a half an hour yet. But I can already tell it's gonna be a long day. I've got allergies and a bit of a leftover headache from Monday. But you know, on the other hand, I've got a case of red bull in the fridge. So I'll probably try not to set anyone on fire today. But you have to help by not doing anything worth getting set on fire for, okay? Okay. So, how is everyone?

Going to a Dave Matthews Band concert tonight. So, yeah, I'm doing awesome. :)

Comment on the end of last week's episode/start of this week's--anyone else think it might have been interesting to reveal some kind of history with Kait and Jack? In terms of personality (including their fondness for firearms) they seem to have a connection there. If nothing else, a little one-sided attraction on Kait's part would lend an interesting shade to her character.

That episode kind of felt like the end of a volume, although I know it's not.
I was away last week so I forgot to congratulate everyone involved on Freak Angels 100. It doesn't feel like that long, which means it must be a good thing!
I had a minor migraine yesterday, and I still feel it lurking around behind my eyes and in my gut today but I don't want to take migraleve as it makes my skin prickle. apart from that, been watching the World Cup and playing WoW. Meeting an infrequent Whitechapel poster tomorrow for lunch.

I know what you mean, Kradlum: it feels like some sort of resolution, or the beginning of one.

I am pretty impressed with Kait right now. I wouldn't have imagined her to be so sensible.

And oh, I love Alice. I love her so.

I have apthous ulceration in my mouth, a slight fever and a swollen jaw. Apart from that I am feeling ridiculously chirpy - I don't know why but I like it.

I am thinking of being girly and photographing loads of roses tomorrow, if I feel well enough.

Nice ending feeling today - don't know a technical phrase for it. Alice's little moment kind of allows you a pause to breathe and think 'you have no idea' before bracing yourself for the next episode. Alice is looking less gaunt and tired, I note. i love the detail in the art that allows you to read a little story that isn't in the text.

Typical brother-sister style interaction between Jack and Kait. hah.

Just woke up myself. I'm going to a final business meeting with our new partner at Heroes Realm in Lexington. I'll finally be getting my grubby little hands all over everyone's comic books and toys again.
I am excited and apprehensive. We're trying to find a new place to live that accepts pets (a daunting task), and my car is about to die. So I'll have to figure out how to pay off a car, and pay a much more expensive rent on an income that didn't include the whole car rubbish...

I did say last week that Kait was going off to drag Jack back.

Had my wife back this week, so it's been nicer. Finally stopped with the rain after two straight weeks too. Mostly, anyway.

I'm currently pushing the envelope on things I can do/say that will make my boss edgy on deadline day. Also I have a headache too! Possibly from bad posture, though right now I feel like I'm just doing it to fit in with all you other ill people.

Survived another working week. Looking forwards to buying a new office chair tomorrow as my current one has got to the stage where duct tape and baling wire can no longer resurrect it. Was informed today that I may be building a website for this lunatic.

    The Bad Piper

Ah Kait, she'll show us the way! Her comment on Luke's current state of mind made me burst out laughing. And Alice. She's in for a nasty shock shortly me thinks.

Huh. I did not think Kait had it in her. How about that. And I love page five. We almost never see such treatments in comics anymore. Good show, guys.

Nice to see Kait thinking outside her usual "I AM THE LAW" box. Looking forward to seeing the gang's attempt to sort things out. Not looking forward to whatever's shortly going to happen to Alice, but she seems to have landed on her feet pretty well so far.

My week has been fine, if utterly uneventful. Glad it is Friday.

Page 5 is probably the best use of white space and paneling I've seen since JH William's work on Desolation Jones.

I'm good today. Had a wonderful date w. the wife last night, and the weekend looks full of promise and low hanging fruit.

Love Kait! Especially the bit where Jack takes her hand while saying "fuck you, Kait" and she just says "yeah, yeah". I don't see a romantic kind of attraction there, more of a friendly (or sometimes not so friendly) rivalry over who's the toughest.

    And Alice, of course, rocks.

I actually feel pretty good today, despite lack of sleep. We'll see how productive I manage to be.

    Alice said it all.

I imagine that Jack's head would be spinning (along with the others who hadn't dabbled in death before) at the realization (actually, I would think that someone was putting me on, suspicious to the end, until there was actual proof- this is just not something you could mention in a conversation and expect it to be taken for granted) that being a FreakAngel they cannot die.
At any rate, something new and unusual is about to happen, and the kids will change.

Will they all start to glow purple?

Like so many other scenes, it's surprising and yet it makes a weird sense that these two would have this kind of relationship. They're both harsh, they're both realists, they're both supertough.

Kait and Jack had always seemed to me to be more grown up than the rest. Like, it's fine if all you kids want to pretend like our little town is safe, but WE know that there's death and killing around every corner.

Kait to me seems a little relieved. Like now she knows that there's a good chance that she might not have to worry about the FA killing each other. I don't think she quite believes it all yet, and it'll take some proving, but her job as FAPD might not be as demanding as she wants to think it is.

Jack and Kait? Hmmm. I imagine (and it might be just me) that MOST of the Lady Freakangels fucking HATE Sirkka because she gets to be with Jack and they've ALL got a bit of a crush on Jack. They let her do her own thing with her harem (how is THAT not breaking the "Big Law" of not controlling people's minds, having a harem?) Jack's cool, he's cute, he's good at sex and has been for quite a while, he's not Luke, he's not fat and emo like Connor, nor weird like Karl or stroppy like Kirk. Mark would be the other heart-throb but Jack's always been taken (by Sirkka). Not that I'm suggesting they're going to ... um, clench and release or anything but ... yeah, Kait has a low-level attraction to Jack? Who doesn't?

The week is the week. Almost done, almost there. Soon, fire, liquor and possibly some kind of violence. Maybe just shouting, I can't tell, the tachyon interference is too severe.

Simple. She doesn't control anyone's mind.

For some of us, controlling our dicks is almost the same thing...

Bravo to whoever had Jack respond in lowercase lettering after being kicked in the balls. I liked that.
