About 1½ years ago I finally decided to break free from the chains (and security) of employment and start my own business. The plan was to do freelance work and on the side develop my own game idea(s) but as it turned out I didn't get much outside work so I spent most of the time on my own first project.

This slowly grew into Exile Gods, an online trading card game where you take the role of a deity having been banished to the lowest of the nine celestial realms. The goal is to make it back to the highest realm. Your powers let you summon creatures and effects (cards) from the mortal realms and use them to fight your opponents. Not that most people pay much attention to the story, but there you have it.

The game was launched in January 2010 so it's not brand new anymore but it's still developing and expanding. I have 2 out of 9 realms ready, plus the tutorial pseudo-realm, it amounts to about 300 cards or so, with realm 3 (another 250 cards) coming later this summer. Players starting now should have enough content to keep them quite busy until the new realm launches.

Features include original artwork and gameplay, friendly community, auction house, crafting system. A Facebook account is required to play.

It's definitely a game for geeks, so if you fall into that category you're likely to enjoy it.

Feel free to ask me any questions you may have!
