Remember - there's no crying in Whitechapel.

Frankly, I think it looks fine. A lot more practical than her "classic" outfit. Not sure about the retconned origin but it'll likely get retconned again pretty soon anyway.

It's not enough to make me care about Wonder Woman but some of the reaction has been interesting.

I think she looks like Zatanna without the top hat

It's all good, except for the 90's top jacket. It looks like it's straight out of WILDC.A.T.S. There's gotta be a better way to solve that.

It's not horrific. It's relatively recognisable and not wildly impractical. I prefer a few of the R/R versions, though...

As I mentioned at my blog, the old "classic" looks like something a USO go-go dancer would wear.

I never gave a real shit about WW in general for a variety of reasons, but the reactions have been fun to read.Especially someone named Nikki Finke, who I've never heard of but is really annoying.

The jacket reminds me of Superboy. Blegh. But otherwise I love the new look!

It looks good other than the jacket. The time change thing that's going along with it really isn't that big of a deal since it sounds more like a story arc than anything else. Is she being de-aged though as well?

Having read a couple of articles now, it really feels like this costume is temporary - a result of this alternate timeline story arc. Even if they meant to keep the costume as permanent, they at least have an out if it's just universally panned. I don't find it offense, but it's true Jim Lee, as awesome an artist as he is, still seems to have a costume design aesthetic that's stuck in his Image years. The armbands that wrap through the fingers, the jacket, etc. I dig a more a reasonable (read: not a swimsuit) costume, but for Wonder Woman, I think I do prefer a _costume_ as opposed to really stylized clothing.

That said, I'm painfully embarrassed about some of those comments.

"WW is supposed to be the ultimate male fantasy."
"if you want my opinion they shouldn’t add clothes, they should sudtract clothes."

Didn't she have this costume and haircut in 1994?

I think it looks fantastic...and very practical. It's a pretty costume, and it also makes sense as something that someone would wear in real life...

I didn't even know JMS was doing Wonder Woman, could be good. Still I hope that Grant Morrison ever gets to realize the plans he had for this character at one point.

That was my first thought when I saw this: "Did it become 1995 again when I wasn't looking?"

I don't hate the costume, and I've always been in the "Wonder Woman needs to put some damn clothes on" camp. But this... is just generic, and not at all memorable. Plus the jacket.

She's done the jacket before...and people hated it then...

The costume doesn't bother me one way or another, it's another costume change that will eventually go away.

What bothers me more is that once again a new writer shows up on Wonder Woman, destroys the island, revamps everything, introduces new villains, which will all lead to the status quo happening again just in time for the next person to do the same. It really seems like Wonder Woman has two stories, island is destroyed introduce new threats, or island is restored and heavy focus on Greek myths.

Ahh, I don't care about the character but at least they could have consulted a panel of Remake/Remodel & Project: Rooftop contributors before settling for such a mundane, early 90s look... (maybe a future R/R thread?)

My only comment is that I think it's a shame the they've made the WW more of a logo.

I always like the fact that the WW on the original costume was more of a "happy accident" of the eagle design and her bosom, after all, Diana didn't call herself Wonder Women until after she'd been around a bit

I'm far less concerned about the outfit than I am about how they're going to reconcile an entirely different backstory with her years of past interaction with the JLA and everybody else. Brand New Day wasn't exactly seamless in that regard.
