    So as far as I understand there are scientist working on sending particles back in time through a portal that stays on at all time, the portal having to have been powered the entire time in order for them to send particles back.

    Has anyone else heard of this, and where can I find an article about it?

    I expect that the moment such a device would be activated, a huge flow of matter from all points in the future would stream through it, obliterating its control devices and closing it on its past side.

    The paradox that results from that likelihood suggests that the machine cannot be created.

    A homeless guy in Washington DC once told me that time travelers were all around us, but that they were invisible and could walk through walls.

    He said "They go back in time that way so they don't mess up the past. Sometimes we see them, but we think they're ghosts."

    I slept with the light on that night.
