It's strange how some Freakangel appears to have awesome powers (Arkady's teleport, Sirkka's brain healing, Karl being the Rain Man, Kaitlyn reading minds) whilst others, like Caz, KK and Kirk appear to lack any power when not with another Freakangel. Maybe they need to discover their own specific ability And Kirk maybe has to learn "how not to irk people, expecially when they are dangerous sociopaths like Luke"

I think it all has to do with their individual comfort levels in using their powers after the Crash. They can all read minds, but most of them choose not to (especially Karl, who goes out of his way not to hear stray thoughts). Luke has never done anything that was not strictly self-serving, as far as I have seen. He told Kirk he could change the weather if he wanted, but didn't attempt it himself. He knows he could be as powerful as Arkday--but he's not. Something holds him back. The ones that don't really use their power in an obvious manner don't really need to. KK is an inventor and builder, Kirk is on the watchtower, Caz is an engineer; what should they be using their powers on?

I think they use their powers when a situation calls for it, and that most of them show wisdom by not fully depending on them for every day situations.

it seems to me that mark isnt the 'bad guy' at all. not in regard to the other FA's anyway. after his death experience and his realisation that he can't die, his nefarious plans could just be his way of expanding the package in all the others. 'powering up' all his friends. why else would he attack people he can't kill

I never saw Mark as believing that he couldn't die. As he explained it to Kait he seemed to believe that Karl and Kirk had tried to kill him, but failed. Luke was the one who figured out that they couldn't die (or at least couldn't die normally).

true, but mark's aware that that experience expanded his package skillset. and surely he's aware that his actions may lead to the other FA's skillset expanding.

Not hard to understand when you consider most of the FA consider the Package to be a curse not a blessing.
