    Let's bail out of the longrunning Presidential thread for now. It's Super Tuesday --

    -- and Huckabee just took West Virginia.

    I'm going to be keeping an eye on this all night... who's with me?

    I hadn't heard about Huckabee in W. VA. Clearly I'm not paying close enough attention.

    Will start paying closer attention right this second.

    Yeah Joe i had to change my voter registration from independent to republican to be able to vote for Paul.
    We had a deadline in place, but it wasn't publicized too much.

    Words of wisdom when your out there voting, remember no matter who wins

    I'm a little pissed that we won't know the full score in California until tomorrow (or later), but I'm glued to cnn.com's primary results: http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/dates/#20080205

    I live in Texas (sure, I'm in Austin, but I have friends and family all over the state), and I'm not getting the same vibe you are. Nobody's really making a big deal about a woman and a black guy running. I'm voting for Obama in our primary in March, but then I'm moving to Colorado, where I'll feel like (don't laugh) my vote will actually count.

    Temperatures plummeting in Illinois -- could seriously hamper turnout.

    Since I apparently don't hate how my body feels enough, I'll be here all night, too.

    Huckabee, obviously, won West Virginia because of his rock band, Capitol Offense. What is it with DC bands that they're all named like they could've been on Dischord in the 80s?

    I'm just sort of waiting for him to refer to Obama as "boy".

    ARES edited his thing so I'll remove mine too.

    I voted for Ron Paul. I'm sure he won't get anywhere, but I can still hope, damnit!

    heh, I've found that you can subscribe to rss feeds of threads. This will now be where I'll get updates from as there doesn't seem to be any "live" reporting a la the election.

    Unless someone can point me to one.

    @Warren, please slap ARES.

    Stuck working all day, so I don't get to back Obama, but that didn't stop the Ron Paul camp from waking me up with a text to go out and vote this morning :|

    Did I misread his post?

    EDIT: Okay, I may have done. It was a sort of quote. Fair enough.

    @pi8you: Not to be smart, but voting places tend to be open longer than any one person's work shift.

    @Pete
    Trust me, living around rednecks will color your perception of the rest of the country. Like ARES said upthread,
    it might perhaps be that I simply have very little hope in the grand scheme of things. Of course, I live about 15 minutes away from a NASCAR race track, could be that. :)

    Is it required that I drink heavily while watching this, or optional? I'm just wondering what to tell my doctor.

    0-Flame in about 50 minutes. Not bad, folks.
