    Hi, my name is Blake.

I have been out of the womb and in the waking nightmare for 24 years. I do stand up comedy, play drums and write screenplays/comics. I am slowly but surely working on a novel. Earlier this year I travelled around South America and parts of Europe. I also hit up Israel, which was amazing. In Portugal I got a tattoo. Now I am addicted to tattoos and travelling. When there's work I am on the bottom rung of a special effects community that does Big Hollywood Action Movies. If the planets align I will be driving 14 hours south west of my current location to work on the new Mad Max movie. Let's hope that happens...

The ultimate goal is to be a film maker and not put a gun in my mouth until I am of at least retirement age.

Other things I enjoy include; cocktails, red bull, David Lynch's voice, architecture, chaos magick, the idea of resetting the internet to zero, Vans slip ons.

    All Hail...

    Hi, my name is Kevin.

I am a fledgling writer/director. I have been hard at work this year on Captured Ghosts about our benefactor Warren Ellis. I also have a book coming out in April that is an exegetical work about technology and identity in Ellis's work.

I have all my arms, legs and a working heart. I am not sure what else to add beyond that.

Hi, my name is Kari but I usually use the name Morgana Fiolett on t'interwebs. Sometimes it slips out into the real world too. I've just read all of Freakangels in the last three days, been meaning to catch up to it for months. My boyfriend is an occasional poster here by the name of Vox Doom and he said I ought to read it all and come here and post something.

I'm trying to be a writer, I post a flash fiction story daily on my writing journal The Best Place By The Fire since I can't get around to editing the novel I wrote in 2008. Or finishing the one from last year for that matter. Short stories I can at least finish.

    Umm picture...
    Morgana Fiolett

    That's it, I reckon.

    @Oddbill and Texture

Thanks! I'm glad you guys like my works and appreciate the friendly welcome. :)

I've been in a bit of an annoying creative slump over the summer, but I've got another full length album and video in the works I'll likely finish (and share) in 2011. As with my previous material, it will all be free - I decided back a ways that I'd rather subsist on part time work and freelance contracts than live "off" my art. I have a great admiration for people who can make the latter lifestyle work for them, though.

    Cheers.

Hello! Your face and expression look almost exactly like 2 (maybe 3) different people I know. Eerie doppelgangers are afoot. I enjoy a spot of the chaos magicks myself, though in saying that, I feel I'm doing a disservice to the people who actually spent time studying and practicing it by associating myself. In frankness, I think it would be truer to say I have an occult icon fetish, of sorts.

    Good luck with your goals!

    Hi, my name is Alex

I'm nearly 22, bordering on mental insolvency and kept awake at night by a ravening beast of imagination. With all the direction of a neutered dog in the height of mating season. I live in strange days and in stranger thoughts.

I've been reading the Whitechapel forum on and off when I switch in to read Freakangels. I don't think I have anything to show for all of my crazy ideas, but the community that's drawn here and what's been created, has really inspired me to join.

So I'm developing my creative side. I'm well read and I have written... Sporadic madman scribblings, with one or two pieces of short-fiction. I'm currently enslaved to the 9-5 in pursuit of financing a long-time love of film-making. I've spent the last few months learning how to draw through a Betty Edwards book (I think she deserves the Nobel Prize, if it weren't an empty gesture) and I've come a long way from badly drawn stick-men. But, a little bit further to go, yet.
I'm also messing around with ideas for comics. But it's all talk and no action at the moment. Comics are a recent love, kicked off by the Master himself when I was but a mere 15 year old dogs-body on work-experience at my local library, and continued over the years. Transmetropolitan remains one of my most favourite works (No.1 spot was sold to Roald Dahl for space-dust, sorry) and I'd like to thank you Warren, because it's every inch of brilliant.

    Thanks, have a photo:
    Serious face...

    Hello, I'm Matt.

I'm from the Twin Cities. I'm an artist, focusing on illustration, painting, and photography, and am currently going to school at Hamline University to become an art teacher. Though I have the disposition of a 70-year-old, I stand at 29 years old with a lovely wife and a 4-year-old son and a nearly 2-year-old daughter. I have a Batman collection, an obsession with all things science but mostly quantum mechanics and physics, and am mostly deaf but wear hearing aids. I'm sure there's more to tell but... meh...

If you'd like to see my imagery, here's the old Flickr page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mtgockowski

I also have a blog which doesn't get updated often enough: http://thelimestonecowboy.blogspot.com/

hello, I'm SoftSpot (with 2 capital S, not my legal name, I know) from Belgium. No graphical qualities myself, I just like to read a good story, and FA appears to be one.
I suppose I'm one of the older people here, since I have seen the best side of 50 already, but I try to stay young at heart.

Hello my name is Jesse (I'm a dude just to make it clear) I am an aspiring artist and writer and trying to get a lot of experience in both. I am interested in a lot of weird stuff ( I think its required to join this site) and unfortunatly I don't have an art blog or anything like that since none of it isn't that good but I do have a twitter http://twitter.com/JFreyre315 I will try to be funnier and not be so perverse.

    @IronImp

Regarding the chaos magick; I'm a complete acolyte. I've read a lot. I haven't dabbled in experimenting with it quite as much as I'd like to have at this stage. A lot of it for me ties into anxiety about living situation and getting frowns for things I would like to be doing. All in good time. Define 'occult icon fetish' for me. I'm guessing this is either pointed at particular humans and practicioners or you just really dig some of the imagery that has come out of occult circles. Either way; please clarify, sir. Sate my curiousity.

The look in that photo is by no means unique. It's the I'm-A-Wild-Man-And-Can't-Hold-Down-A-Real-Job look. I've since gotten rid of the beard but I miss it dearly. "Beards are an asset," as a delightful Argentinian girl put it one time.

If you'll excuse me now I'm going to escape into my memories and weep.

    @Jesse

Does your name deliberately translate into 'Colonel Good Day'? If so; gold. I also like the line 'I am interested in a lot of weird stuff.' That sort of sums things up for me as well, really. Taxidermy, home surgery and swing dancing? My kind of people.

As for twitter; twitter.com/eddiepepitone -- try not to break a rib laughing.

On an unrelated note; is there a cure for getting out of bed every five minutes to scribble down random phrases like 'hobo fight fuck' and 'shithead museum'?

Regarding any "magicks", chaos or otherwise, I'm basically a appreciative newb who enjoys suspending skepticism and appreciating performance/spectacle/meditation/imagination for what I want it to be, rational thoughts be damned.

My "occultism fetish "is in a love of icons, sigils, seals, symbolism, etc - basically reducing the language to describe complex esoteric abstract or tangible concepts into eye-catching bits of art often composed of circles, lines and basic geometry. More specific examples would be Masonic, Judeo-Christian, Egyptian, Pagan, Alchemical, Nordic, Celtic, Mathematical, Calligraphic, miscellaneous "occult", or even Corporate or Political logos - Kinda broad, but direct instances I've paged over and enjoyed.

Saying that by association I do a disservice to the people who study that sort of thing - well, I don't mean to be self deprecating or insult anyone else, I just mean I'd feel like a voyeuristic movie buff sitting in with class act directors when comparing my personal enthusiasm or knowledge against people like:

Aleiser Crowley, William Burroughs, Bryon Gyson, Phil Hine, Genesis P Orridge, Andrieh Vitimus, Peter J Carroll, Alan Moore, Grant Morrison, etc etc... (many others not listed)

I just about spilled the entirey of my knowledge on the subject in this post, but - so as to not derail this thread further - if you want to talk about it more, send me an email (in my profile) or whatnot.

    I'm Sean.

I'm not sure what I'm doing here, but I guess that in this case, that's alright.

I think Freak Angels vs Dark City would be an epic battle. I think we all know who would win. The chikenz!

In dry fact, I encountered the Freak Angels this weekend, courtesy a link from the Clockworks web comic. It was the best way I've spent any Saturday night I can remember, reading from start to current, here at Freak Angles - and what ho! This community, here. I consider that uniqueness is nothing to exploit, so I'll leave it at that.

Of course, if I could bend the weather, I might have a different perspective on the matter. Such wonderful questions this web-comic poses.... Corona Cheers! Huzzah!

Hello. My name is Enrique Recuero, which is a pseudonym because I teach elementary school in Texas and the administration has some Big Brother tendencies.

I am 31 going on 25. I plan on going on 25 for the rest of my life.

I am an aspiring self publisher writer/artist. I am a huge fan of Warren, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Grant Morrison, R. Crumb.

My favorite comic is Kramer's Ergot, but Supergod is a close second.

I have a blog in which I have been writing a sci fi story which is the prequal for one comic I'm working on.
    http://dawnoftheubermensch.blogpsot.com

looking at the introductions I am confident that I am in good company on this forum and am looking forward to bullsitting with everyone.

I hate myspace, though I have one if I am pressed.

Feel free to friend me on facebook

I was going to come in here and state my envy for all of you... As a scientist (seems odd to call myself that now that I'm technically one by more than thought processes...heh), I'm an avid skeptic of anything until I have empirical evidence or experience it firsthand. And seeing as that I can't inhale DMT fast enough to go meet my maker, I'm going to have to stick with envying all of you while continually questioning my perceived reality. ;)
I would wager I have superpowers or "magick" - since I'm the only truly logical and rational female I've ever met in my entire life. :P

That being said, time to go read what the moronic misinterpretations of some people are to things they don't understand on some other public forums before taking my sleep-deprived anus to work and try not to kill anyone (I've never killed anyone on accident, I swear...hahah). :P
