http://wmfo-duke.orgs.tufts.edu:8000/listen.pls
It's a freeform station, mostly run by students and residents of the Medford/Somerville area, just north of Boston. For a real treat, tune in on Fridays at 10 for two hours of the newest music this side of the internet and maybe some comics and campus talk too, as THE FOURTH WORLD with DJ Metron (and yes, it does have to be in all caps. Always) takes to the air. I hear that enigmatic DJ Metron is one handsome devil. It's too bad <del >my</del>his parents will be there this week, watching him record the show, or he'd definitely send a shoutout to all you Whitechapelers.

He's, uhh, a very good friend of mine. Yeah, that's it. I've got an in with him.

The listener number can be set by the server admin, in theory it can be as large as your server hosts big fat data pipe and your budget will allow. I tend to use shoutcast though as its easier to maintain and you dont have to patch it to stream mp3 (icecast defaults to ogg).

Some servers you hire on a bandwith usage basis others charge you per listener but its crazy cheap these days.

I have an AV for secondlife called radio, I just park him up places to listen to music while i do other things.
