    The 13th Doctor

    The good Doctor is now in a vague military type jacket with a T-shirt underneath, that ideally changes logo/style each episode, showing off something cool and British or, I don't know, Sciency.

    And he's addicted to sucking on lollipops.

    K9 is now a know-it-all cyborg Pomeranian.

    Wait a minute... Doctor "Who"?

    Is joke. With the laughings. ... Sorry. Me go draw now. Thread's full of awesome already, and it's just barely tuesday, for god's sake, people!

    ARRRGGGHHH! This happened to me last week too! For fuck's sake, Templesmith - it's a different jacket but the exact same t-shirt & dark jeans as my design! Curse your foul work-faster-and-produce-better-results-than-me-hide! I'm sticking with it though, 'cause I've designed (and finished) a whole new logo based around that "RAF/mod target" design. So nobody else do that, ok?! And the sooner Ben's Doctor changes his t-shirt, the better.

    This just occurred to me: does the 13th Doctor save the world only to meet his end choking on a lolly pop?

    @Nick Well, it's a sonic lollipop.

    Sorry man!

    Great subs so far
    @Ben Templesmith a Mod Dr works so well

    Struggling to find time this week, maybe a last minute entry

    Ugh my computer is down, I have to watch from the sidelines this week. Great now Sizer gets to have all the fun. I gotta say the Mod look is a great fit, also a time traveling vespa seems amusing.
    Looking forward to seeing all the artwork this week.

    @ Annie , you can add one more to the giddy club, I too am ridiculously excited to see all the Doctors.

    My God, but I would love to see a comic for Ben Templesmith Doctor. Brilliant.

    Going to get my thinking cap on for this one, although I do wonder whether River Song could turn out to be the next Doctor somehow.

    As an aside I spotted that someone is doing a similar remodel type deal, but for Back to the Future- was over on this forum

    Guys, I already did this.

    Queen Who

    Ben T, yours is my favorite so far. Checked out those BTTF redesigns, disappointing. Nowhere near as imaginative as anything on this thread. Too much photoshop. I really need to learn to draw so I can participate in these things. The ideas are more than there, the ability, not so much. I would have made my Doctor almost, but not quite, entirely unlike Lemmy Kilmister, since we all know he's secretly immortal anyway. Sonic Rickenbacker, Time traveling tour van, the whole thing. Also, chiming in with the "reallyreallreally hope to see Annie's take on this", yep. Continue on, artists!

    God DAMN it, Ben. Raising the bar to Earth orbit and it's only Tuesday. The coloring of that piece is especially beautiful.

    Chip, that is brilliant.

    Wish I could do stuff like this. I'm just a pencil and paper kind of chap and all the current pics put anything I could do to shame

    @Neil Ford -
    done the mod target logo thing already aswell...

    So you did, you sneaky sod. I completeley missed it without the colour. Nice and subtle the way you hide it behind that massive question mark! Also, I love that distressed look on the background. No idea how to achieve it, but I like it a lot.

    I would love to see a comic for Ben Templesmith Doctor
    Templesmith did a 10th Doctor comic. Okay, so it wasn't his sonic lolly mod creation, but it was damn good looking. I believe it was called "The Whispering Gallery" I may be wrong (it was definitely in a gallery).

    Thirteenth incarnation of Doctor Who by Matt Kuhns

    Once again, it's like some force took over my body when I read about this challenge on Warren's blog... I tried to go and read but was compelled to sit down and create, instead.

    Which is especially weird as I have never even seen an episode of Dr. Who. I read a comic, once... but if I've broken any "rules" then blame or praise should probably be assigned to just not knowing any better. :-)

    • I like this logo concept but in practice it's rubbish; a thumbprint just doesn't reduce well.
    • The thirteenth Doctor (per the acquaintance who inspired him) has heavily-tattooed arms. I decided he would wear a vest, then decided for whatever equally-random reason that he really needed something beneath the vest. But I wanted to show the tattoos. Solution? He's wearing a shirt with the sleeves rolled up.

    2D art is not exactly my thing, but since I bought a tablet, I figured I could give it a try.

    Lets see if anyone gets the 'source of inspiration'.

    This may be utter Who blasphemy, but the question that first came to mind was: "Why does the Doctor have to be a man? Or just a straight man? Or just a straight white English man?"
    So I decided to play with that, and well, here you go... Sci-fi and Genderbending; a winning combination.
    Also decided to establish that the TARDIS glitch has been partially fixed; now instead of a police box, it looks like a concrete kiosk.

    Credits: Figure photo reference: the lovely Miss K (thanks in advance!)

    EDIT UPDATE: In case anyone's interested, here's some detail shots from my entry. I littered the TARDIS with a bunch of crap I've designed for the forums here. Enjoy.

    Love. Just pure love.

    @NeilFord - Interesting style.

    @Ben Templesmith - Goddamit I love the tail of that dog. Now some real dog is going to have to pay for your actions!

    @mattk - I see some Warren Ellis in that, thinking back.. I wish Warren Ellis were casted as the Doctor.. exploring the side of the universe the previous doctors sort of ignored.

    @Paul Sizer - Admit it, you are just trying to make Doctor loyalists cry! Awesome design tho. Like how it points towards a more cyberpunk futuristic story.

    I've always wondered why the Doctor is a man. @Sizer I think I'm in love.

    @ Paul Sizer: fabulous. You are a genius.

    As for mine: the doctor and his/her companion. You decide who's who. Hardy hardy har.

    I've never watched DOCTOR WHO, actually. I found this explanation while researching: "The Doctor is a Time Lord, an extraterrestrial from the planet Gallifrey, who travels through time and space in an internally vast time machine called the TARDIS". It did not help me much, at first.
