    I joined this here forum just to participate here;

    The 13th Doctor

    My thought here is that, given everything that's happened in the Doctor's long life, and given his upcoming mortality, he might just go a bit mad. That in mind, his choice of outfit doesn't match with anything - it's mostly just "found" items. Plus, it's about time we saw a Doctor in a kilt. It's a big "eff this ess" - my last life, my rules.

    Hey, I had alot of fun browsing this thread. Allow me to add a ridiculous dumb submission to the awesome ones here!

    I guess the logic here is, he started out looking way OLD, he might end looking way YOUNG.
    Anyways, thanks for a good read.

    Thirteenth DoctorSome really brilliant images on here. I particularly enjoy the more outré ones.

    I also love that Tilda Swinton keeps coming up. Tilda as the Doctor is something I’ve thought for ages would be awesome, so in fact to start with I tried to draw her in Orlando mode - but couldn’t quite make it work. So instead I went for Toshiro Mifune (think of his gruff persona in Kurosawa’s Yojimbo and High and Low especially) in a thirties Brighton Rock-style suit and patent DMs.

    Apologies to everyone else who’s done the Doctor smoking, and/or with a dog of some description. (This one’s meant to be an Italian greyhound, BTW.)

    Apologies for the bad image quality. The only scanner i have is in my boy friend's house.

    I see the Doctor as always not fashionable but still stylish, and why not make him a little less Anglosaxon, and more ... British?

    13th Doctor Who

    Way back when I was a kid, five or six years old, I saw "Snakedance". It scared the living daylights out of me and I couldn't sleep for a week. I've been hooked on the Doctor ever since.
    I went for an Eccleston/Tennant crossover, but my wife says he looks like me. Oh well, i DID always want a TARDIS!
    The shamrock glows red in the presence of Daleks and sings the Gallifreyan National Anthem when detecting Timelord tech.
    The TARDIS tattoo is in fact a remote control device for the TARDIS.

    As for the text, I couldn't resist. My apologies.

    @Paul Milligan I think all that text under your pic would qualify as a "pen portrait", which are forbidden in these threads. You need to cut it down, because I, personally like these threads, and would hate to have Warren stop them.
    PS Your pics really good, and doesn't need the text anyways.

    @Paul Milligan
    ... Damn. That's good. REAL good.

    @mthemordant - This was one of my earlier ideas, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it because it kept looking like Hugh Jackman and the future in "The Fountain". Yours is great, a great image, original and focused. I could see him being called The Doctor very easily. Great colours too.

    @Paul Milligan - Ditto what Dallaz1978 said. Nice Jenny, great Doctor but the genius has of 'Cas' is what gets me. (Nice TARDIS too btw.)

    @DeanF - Love the suit! Good long-haired doctor too.

    @tubbypaws - Wow. Amazing.

    Everyone else, I love at least something about all of them. Such fun to read through and imagine all the possible ideas.

    Ultimate REmake:REmodel- The 13th Doctor

    I went for a Doctor Who meets Doc Savage.

    Such an amazing array of talent on display in this thread, some I have to mention: Templesmith, Pia Guerra, Annie (I was thinking Bill Nighy too), Sizer, Dbed (devastatingly awesome, every time), Bruceohughes (great logo!), tubbypaws (mindbending stuff!), and mthemordant (great logo & detailing). And there's still for others to chip in. Can't wait to see what turns up.
    [edited down to comply with rules--sorry! I guess Dr Who makes most of us 'Squeee!', and blather on excitedly.]

    and aimeekitty: nice! The Doctor means business!

    My Thirteenth Doctor brings an air of solitary mysticism to the TARDIS.

    With Sonic Cane, sans companions, he arrives as though attired for his own funeral.

    The Thirteenth Doctor.

    The depth of the work here has just become outstanding.

    @Ix I absolutely love the simplicity of the black and white image.
    Honestly every post here has a little element or two that I wish I had thought of.

    @AdamLaw, I think yours is definitely one of my favorite executions of a final design :)

    The Thirteenth Doctor

    After the 11th Doctor's comment "I'm a girl?!? Still not ginger!", it would be appropriate that if he becomes a girl, he finally gets to be ginger. In the design of the Doctors, Its important that they look English and like someone that spends their whole life traveling - jackets/comfortable shoes. The Doctors always have a call-back to previous ones - scarf (4th), glasses (10th), question mark (5th), and watch (11th) plus a modern/retro flair, so I went with a trendy 60's-style trench.

    @lx love your atmospheric, almost foreboding approach; really beautiful

    here's mine, was thinking about going the Ginger route.
    had so many different versions for this, hated all of em.

    so i just turned on some Doctor Who soundtracks and let whatever happen happen.
