It may be a little juvenile, but I really enjoyed Religion is like a penis a couple of pages back.

Friends of mine, but I think they ought to have more people look at them:

    As seen IO9:

    A la conquête du pôle

I like to think I know a bit about cinema and movies, but I was unaware of this, it is quite great and form the general likes of this place I think you might like it too, it has the science and it has the mad and lots of silly topics (I'm loving the explorer's names and its looks, specially the spanish one, Señor Cerveza!! and it's mexican outfit)...funny and interesting and at least for the science fiction in movies, melies is where mostly everything began!'s tombs is greaty overlooked in Père-Lachaise.

In some ways I would like to see some sort of retelling in comic book form from Mr. Ellis of this stories, to flesh them a little bit....I can easily imagine an image of the scene near the end (SPOLIER!) with the magnetic needle near the end with the sekeltons of previous explorers attached to it..

well that last bit didnt have a thing to do with the original thing, watch and enjoy!!!!!

@frenchbloke omg that Ariston thing always had me totally transfixed and I'd go around muttering "and on and on and on and Ariston" for days. So, um, yeah, thanks for making my week a little more baffling for those around me.
