If you needed further proof of awesomeness -

Terry Pratchett personally created his own sword, including some metal from a meteorite

English fantasy author Sir Terry Pratchett says he was so excited after being knighted by the Queen that he decided to make his own sword to equip himself for his new status.

It was not enough, however, simply to find some metal and get a blacksmith to bash it into shape.

Pratchett, believing the sword would not truly be his own unless it was made from metal he had produced, found a field with deposits of iron ore near his home in Wiltshire, west of London.

I haven't checked Warren's blog today because I'm at work currently and there's no telling what might pop up, but I would be surprised if this wasn't already linked

A Mysterious Force Is Pulling Pioneer 10 Back Toward the Sun

Researchers say Pioneer 10, which took the first close-up pictures of Jupiter before leaving our solar system in 1983, is being pulled back to the sun by an unknown force. The effect shows no sign of getting weaker as the spacecraft travels deeper into space, and scientists are considering the possibility that the probe has revealed a new force of nature.

@icelandbob I hate you so much right now. When I did standup that was basically every 3rd person who was convinced they could 'make it big in stand-up' because 'all their friends said they were hilarious'

hours wasted watching trash that was worse then that.

Wind-powered sculptures designed to wander the beaches until the end of time. Or until they break. I think there might also be some conceptual lifeform angle to thing, but I don't really know.
