Hi ! Back from hollidays too...

    Very busy ones, in fact...
Lots of stuff to show !

I worked on posters for an Ukulélé party:

    First in pixel-art:

    Uke01

    Then, in traditional watercolor:

    Uke02

I also did a ten-pages story for a Canadian blog:
    (extract:)

    ostie

And some numeric-painting for a friends' fanzine:

    ana

Hope YOUR summer was less busy... I didn't exactly had a chance to rest !

Such awesome stuff in this thread already! (I hope I don't bring it down...) Bouletto, I love that watercolour uke player. I swear I saw her playing the streets round Vancouver once. ;)

Here's a little montage of my favourite sketches I did at Fan Expo last weekend. I try to inject a little humour into my stuff, rather than churn out standard hero posing.

Here is my most recent version of the mag cover I'm doing, which I've split into two halves to make more easily viewable...

I'm since done with all the people. What's missing is the logo and and airplane, and I have to do clouds (which I can do at home) and finish tree trunks when I go back to the office on Tuesday. I'll have a few hours to finish everything up and then will be done, which is GREAT news, because this motherfucker has been stressing me out.

I'm unaccustomed to working at a desk all day, so my neck and back were hurting, and I'd pound Tylenol all day and rub my shoulder, which made it break out. And I was getting only 4 hours of sleep a night after working at the office all coloring this, coming home and then coloring the people separately for a few hours each night... It probably took me 15 hours to color the people, not including anything else... I'm tired of looking at this, but I'm happy with it. I can't get a good read on what it will look like printed, though, because every proof my boss shows me looks totally different... He's happy, though, so I guess it's looking fine.

Stunning, stunning work from all involved. I'll have shots of my subway painting by the end of the week; finished after two years of work.

wow... this thread is already teaming with the AWESOME.
@freq- thanks for sharing the full colour version! That is insane!! Super well done, you are a credit to Madness.

Here's something I did today, in response to a challenge by Dave Stokes, a great illustrator who's work i discovered thru twitter. I challenged him to draw Killer Croc, and he challenged me with Warlock (of the New Mutants)... and I sort of met him halfway :)
  7.  (8851.18)
Rooth: Crazy pattern work on that Warlock. I used to be a big New Mutants fan, back in the '90s... Sorry, but why aren't you drawing for the big guys? I see from your website that you have a few published books under your belt, but your stuff is so consistently top-notch that you should be turning down offers to draw the X-men left and right (and maybe you are...).

Ryan Thomason: I love that, but what's a disposable wardrobe?

Bouletto: Cool pixel art! Reminds me of Lilo and Stitch...

    Nice Warlock, Mike.

Frequent: it maybe wasn't entirely disposable, but it was made out of canvas and sticks and fell apart after six months. Something like this.
