Connor had the benefit of enlightenment that Arkady gave him to pull the stunt off. I doubt she will be keen to give it to anyone else to make it easier for them to try. Kait will be last, willingly speaking. IMHO, anyways...
Now that I think about it, when have we actually seen Arkady being spacy? Except in the literal sense when looking at the world from outside and whatnot. She was on a prescient trip shortly before the series began that we get told about, but it's not like you have to be high to take pleasure in things like chickens and picking flowers which is what seems to be the most unorthodox things she does. I'd qualify being "spacy" as showing inability to understand or listen to people talking, or being oblivious to important things going on, and I don't recall seeing anything of that sort.
well, Arkady's look on page 4 was anything but spacy. It really looks like she finally loses her temper in such a way that Jack was going to have a major blast coming. Great how you manage to put so much emotion into one single frame. And Arkady may seem spacy every now and then, I get the impression that she was the first who started to realize what "the package" may be about. And propably the only one who wants to control more of the package for the general benefit of all, not just of the fellow FA's... I think she looks a lot further than anyone else, and that she is a lot smarter and mentally stronger than most think.
Took a good chunk out of my morning to finally get good and fully caught up on this. Now I need to burn my clothes and shower since I've soiled myself over how terrific this.
fuckin' brilliant. genius episode. kady's lucidity and emotion are a sheer wonder to behold. always knew that she was like deep water you could find yourself drowned in. this has to be one of my favorite episodes, the sheer emotion in her look on page 4 is thermonuclear. my hat is off to the lot of ya.
life is, life is, life goes on day after day as frankie gth would say...today it is a good one. hope all is well in the rest of white chapel and environs.
Long-time reader (from the first couple of eps, came here via BoingBoing), first time poster -- heck this may be the only time I post. I just had to say that this last episode is why I read Freakangels. The story is SOOOO good, and the art is SOOOOO good, and the combination of the two is SOOOOOO good. Yes, I read Penny Arcade and XKCD and other webcomics, and they're awesome in their own respective ways, but Freakangels is on a totally different level.
So, to Messrs. Ellis and Duffield, as well as all the other folks involved in bringing this wonderfulness to press (press?), very well done and please keep it up. Your work is a joy, and should be held up as an example of just what kind of brilliance can be accomplished in this medium. Thank you.
Yes. It reads like literature, without taking itself too seriously. Good to have you new guys and gals posting. Come out, everyone else! This party won't last forever.

How about when she showed up at the market and had everyone glaring at her, and didn't understand why? She didn't remember predicting people's deaths, and didn't know if she had food at her place. I don't think she's remotely stupid, but I think that yes, she is spacey from time to time.
This comic is really, really amazing. I've read very few other works that, in the course of six short pages, can make me laugh, tear up, clench my fists, and give the next person I see a high-five.
Ditto all of the above. Arkady 's face was A Picture. Bit of a mixed week as son n heir has gone back dan sarf. On the back or belly of a massive curry blow out (which had the waiter coming back to ask if we *really* wanted that many chappatis). Also sent in a massive edited collection to the publishers, finally and finished a paper I've been dithering over for months.
