I've decided to podcast next year.

Entitled "FWAP" each broadcast is a weird little bit of music, generally less then two minutes long, that I made quickly as an antidote to the commercially minded stuff I've been trying to put together since my last album. Most weeks will be bad... but...different! - Surprising! (possibly)

    Here's the feed:

It's now searchable / findable through iTunes

    Here's the first one:

I might have posted in this thread before, not sure.

I've been in and out of bands since I was 13, the stuff on the soundcloud is a mixture of things from the past few years. The most recent stuff being the Progno labeled bits that I've been making on my iPad with the iMS-20 app.

Just put up an EP I recorded back in 2008 onto bandcamp that was inspired by Nick Cave's novel And the Ass saw the Angel. It's been sitting on a shelf for 3 years, I'm never going to manage to finish it so I've put it up as it is.

please throw it to your friends and that.

"You Won't Want Me" is the first video off an album my record label (Five Three Dial Tone Records) put out earlier this past summer.
The band is called Lettercamp. They're from Detroit. Both their debut album, "Raccoon Panda," and the remix EP that followed, "Raccoon Panda Redux," can be downloaded free on their bandcamp site and ours.

And here's a shot of the finished product for any other vinyl nerds reading this. More info/images can be found here.

I compiled some tracks I had been working on for awhile. Thanks to Mr. Ellis for alerting me to Bandcamp. What a cool place!

So there's some glitchy, space oriented, claustrophobic pieces and weirdness.

Bit of a mixture of stuff on my SoundCloud page, so I recommend listening to 'Misty Mountain Forest' as a starting point...

i told my boyfriend to come post in this here thread and he told me to just plug his stuff for him x_x sorry if that's not allowed, but here it is. He has two projects he's working on, one called The Shaolin Signal, which is more proper band-like, and Preteen Pornstar, for which he works on stuff for, sends to his friend, who then also works on stuff, and this collaboration goes back and forth, with various people coming in for different tracks. He tends to live in the "noisemaker category, but is also a fantastic guitarist. For anyone wondering, I prefer his Preteen work, but it's all good.

Preteen Pornstar site All the albums are free download here. I particularly like the album Little Kid Stories and In Goat We Thrust (Approaching Everywhere from cd2 is the song in my play piercing video, btw). All my favorites of his work come from those two albums.

video for "Chase, Fuck, Kill," a Shaolin Song (video is meh, imo, but the Shaolin songs aren't up for free download)
    Chase, Fuck, Kill

He's also worked on a compilation album called Bordertown Collective, in which they did a bunch of cover songs, but in a different style than the original song
    example, Hey You
    Hey, You

And for kicks, a raw recording of his bent keyboard

How are Bandcamp and Soundcloud for samples of questionable legality? They both seem okay, almost too good. I've seen plenty of unauthorized remixes and covers on Soundcloud and also a fair amount of just straight up stolen music. Soundcloud has a much better searching and tags system and I'd avoided searching Bandcamp up until now, but with a quick check it appears there are plenty of rights infringing songs there too. Are they both taking the Youtube approach and waiting for complaints? There are some really blatant abuses. Thankfully, I guess it's no longer possible to have humans screen the audio. If mediafire and rapidshare are legal much more legitimate sites should be safe, I suppose.

I wonder what the threshold is for a record label go after you? Youtube videos with very few views get taken down for ridiculous reasons. Part of the appeal of these new music sites is their search engine optimization, but it might actually hurt.

KidAnarchy: Nice beats and rhymes man, slightly reminiscent of Lewis Parker.

So My band is THE DEATH OF JOHNNY ALPHA - We're based in Stratford upon Avon, named after the Starlord/2000ad character - and we formed due to a mutual love of comics, zombies films and a mutual hatred for the stuck up idiot bands in our area - we wanted to be a remedy for the SERIOUS BAND issues ruining our towns scene...

You can find us on - though since they MURDERED Myspace - no one seems to go there, or you can search THE DEATH OF JOHNNY ALPHA on facebook -

    And our bandcamp page:

Personally... i love unsigned and new music, so please share a link - like us we'll like you and we can have a good old knees up sometime...

I have recently joined MINIBOSSES, a classic NES cover band that sounds sort of like if Iron Maiden were covering those songs sans vocals.

I've loved this band for a while and am honored to be a part of the family. My first show with them will be at the upcoming MAGFest outside of Washington DC in Alexandria, VA. If anyone is going to be there, come see us and please introduce yourself!

You can download the full "Brass" album on the MINIBOSSES WEBSITE.
