I have a new album out on Aural Sects. It's the first entirely self-produced album I've done. It was mastered by Blackmass Plastics, a bit of a legend on the UK bass underground. Hope you enjoy. It's a mix of dark electronica, chillwave, lo-fi hip-hop, electro and techno.
Are you or your loved ones in the vicinity of Minneapolis? If so, come hear my joyous sounds emanating from the speakers on Monday! I'll be playing at Radio K's WAVEFORMS at Honey (205 E Hennepin). I don't make my way from Finland all the way out here all that often, so that may be a consideration?
Link to the Facebook event, which you are also super welcome to share onwards to your friends who are awesome.
Nah, I shall stop that. This is the band I was in when I was 18. Restarted but not reformed. We have better gear and a few more clues now than we did back then. Taking the attitude that punk is beefed up rock'n'roll, not stripped down metal. Which is something that most bands calling themselves punk these days don't seem to get.
The track WrankNRoll is a Stray Cats and an Eddie Cochran cover stuck together, recorded live and unedited. Recorded the same way is 'Common Land' which was a stab at doing something a bit like The Only Ones, but ended up being a bit Guns N Roses, which isn't necessarily terrible, if that's your thing. Start with those two.
Also, I'm totally working on new stuff and it goes everywhere from "knock the shit off ur walls" to "theres purple mist floating around me"... or something like that. I've got a ways to go but I'm getting there.
this is a mix of all the bands and artists released on my Quiet World label over the first 4 months of 2012 along with a sneaky peak at some that are on their way. Hope you dig it.
My band Thee Hobo Gobbelins is working on a new album, our first in a few years, so we're pretty excited about it. You can check out our older stuff on Bandcamp . Warren once featured our song "Phantasmagoric Cabaret" on his podcast, which seemed to be received well.
We're doing an IndieGoGo campaign to raise the funds for the new album. I made a video, my horribly gimpy first-ever attempt at video editing:
One band is called DEADCOAST a dark surf guitar band ,lotsa reverb...sound like they should be in every Quentin Tarantino or David Lynch Movie Soundtrack.... I gave the video the look of a creepy cavernous black and white 50s Biker bar. With a liquid mirror effect im quite proud of..;-)...
"DEADCOAST"
The other is a band called The Hypnotic Eye ,that takes it's inspiration from 60s garage rock with a modern take.If you can't take the "Neon Miami Vice" film look I gave them, scroll to 4:40 to see them in full colour
My partner's music project Preteen Pornstar and Daimon are doing a mini-Midwest witch haus tour, if any of you guys are in the area. I might be tagging along, not sure yet.
