Here is what I've cranked out instead of owning up to my responsibilities!

Here's my weekend. Hitting the guitar with a hammer is sometimes the appropriate thing to do.

Before I hit a guitar with a hammer, I usually try to make sure it's someone elses guitar (and hammer).

I play violin in Rumour Cubes and we've just finished recording some new pieces at Cafe Music Studios, which was terribly exciting!

You can hear one of these tracks on our Soundcloud. We're currently debating whether to release a second EP or whether to record a couple more tracks and release a full album. Any suggestions, just holler!

We're also on the bill to play the wonderful Supernormal Festival in a few weeks, although it's currently uncertain as they haven't yet sold enough tickets to make it viable :-( So if it sounds like your sort of thing, get your tickets quickly!

I feel like such a whore that my first message on this board is about my own stuff, but whatever. I've been a fan of Ellis for years, and guilt will just have to go by the wayside of my rampaging ego combined with opportunity and inhibition.

I run workerbee records out of Ames, IA and we have quite a few really great bands on it. Here's are two to begin with (I'm only a partial whore):

Neon Lushell http://neonlushell.bandcamp.com (dark electronic psych)
    &
Thunder Bunny http://thunderbunnylives.bandcamp.com (dark psych folk)

    My netlabel made this:

"AURAL SECTS: A Mix for Dior Nights, selected by Ectoplasm & spf50."

17 tracks of sheer awesomeness and one by me... Only problem is my track is first - I was strongarmed into it I was going to do a proper mix and everything...

Feel free to pick up a free copy. Personally, I love it. But then I would, wouldn't I?

A good friend of mine and an incredibly talented musician is trying to raise the funds to get her new full length album finished, which I will be a part of providing it all goes ahead...

The Guardian labelled her the Amy Winehouse of classical music! This is what she sounds like:

    Hazlitt - Introit

Once the target is reached, a percentage of the profits will be donated to the British Heart Foundation for further research on cardiac arthythmia and heart disease.

you can go here to help out: www.pledgemusic.com/projects/Hazlitt
and her own site is here: http://www.hazlittmusic.com/

please help or at least spread the word! i'd fucking love to work on something like this with someone so talented...
