Also, Bootie Mashups, which I discovered at Burning Man. I realized that while I generally dislike pop songs and their bastard children, I love listening to a well done, silly mashup, such as:
Colours - Colours The Fire Escape - Psychotic Episode The Great Society - Only Conspicuous In Its Absence Traffic - Mr. Fantasy The Amboy Dukes - Journey To The Center Of Your Mind The Asylum Choir - Look Inside The Asylum Choir
The Blues Project - Projections Blind Faith - Blind Faith The Crazy World of Arthur Brown The Godz - Contact High With The Godz Pearls Before Swine - One Nation Underground Spirit - Spirit
Driving with a stinking cold which i've been wearing for a fortnight now but seems to finally be coming to the fore so i needed a mix that would cut through the fug.
Cpt Beefheart - Ice Cream for Crow (never been a big Beffheart fan but there are a couple of albums i dig) Faust - Tapes (adore this album) Agitation Free - Second (one of the more psyche of the Krautrock bands - this is a great album) Guru Guru - UFO (pretty much see above but more angular) Crass - Stations of the Crass (every year i seem to go through a bit of a crass revival - the only punk band i can still listen to)
Been listening to a lot of Tiesto trance as I try to get a paper out of the way - pretty much all the In Search of Sunrise series. Thinking of downloading the new 'but its not Tiesto cry the fans' one.
Kryptonite — DJ Fresh Borgore Ruined Dubstep (part one) — Borgore Outside the Box — Skream Magnetic Man — Magnetic Man (whatever I can find on Myspaz and Soundcloud)
Next month I have to get down to Rough Trade East again. Its been months since my regular Sunday visits/shopping sprees.
Eleven Tigers - Stableface. Since you like Burial, you will probably like this.
