Ow. My head feels... positively empty. Or do I mean negatively? Anyway, there's nothing left in there but crumbs. I'm trying so hard to concentrate, but there's this sound. This smacking sound. Labial fricative sound. Like the satisfied noises of something that just had a big meal. OH GOD. Did something just eat... eat my...

WAIT. Here comes... a letter. A... big, purpley neon... letter.

    And it reads:

    DEAR MISTER ELLIS,

THERE IS!!! A PIECE!!! OF BRAIN!!! LODGED IN MY HEAD!!! AWOOO IT HURTS!!!
    MORE EPISODES, PLEASE!!!!

    SINCERELY!!

something important has changed, and I don't think it's a continuity error.

Yeah, she doesn't look like she's thinking, she looks like she's about to START thinking, like she's getting a feeling in her gut or her intuition is telling her something's not right. After all, none of the mutant wizards are out on the street with the regular folks, and none of them are talking to her.

Or... there's going to be another surprise attack from outsiders.

Or... Mark's deep command line is reawakening?!

    Beautiful and awesome. Bravo.

I'm trying to contemplate future Connor up on steam-punk Olympus observing death-Connor observe this new plane of experience. Are all twelve deities up there? I only count 11.

Everyone was looking for Connor's character to change (which you actively encouraged, by the way) but who could have guessed how perfectly in-character he would remain, at least for now.

Enjoy your feast of brains, sir.

"also unconscious are Luke and Karl (I think?) But Mark seems to be speaking through a stroke that (I think?) hasn't happened yet. So the state that brings about this all-seeing, all-knowing event has to shut down native thought, even that minimal work that occurs in deepest blackouts. The full details haven't been explained yet but it seems that Luke and Karl aren't in it. Perhaps because even unconscious there's still too much on their minds (e.g. dreams) to have this event. "

Razrangel, it's Kirk, not Karl, and he may be simply sleeping.

Kirk and Karl need to have their names tattooed on their faces. But I'll probably mix them up anyway. I ALWAYS DO.

@Regeneration: I've counted 12, the three on the right are just quite close together.

This episode was such a mindfuck. My brain just went "Wow...dude, wait....what?" o.O

I have been thinking though, what if Alice is still a sleeper agent? Can Mark just "flip a switch" and have her under his control again?

I've gotten sick in the week that's my favourite bar/venue's 20th birthday celebration week. Lots of free concerts. So I've been pushing myself to go and to drink with a fever and a sore troat, but after Thursday my body said THAT'S ENOUGH and I haven't been out of been for long since waking up on Friday. Have to take care of myself so I don't miss my mum's wedding (!!!) in a week!

    As for yesterday's episode:

Wow. Some feel that the movie-like effects don't fit that well in comics, but I think it's awesome. Really. Also love the x-ray stuff, Paul.
Warren, Paul is your exceptionally brilliant art monkey and if you ever feel that the series need seven volumes and not six, think of humanity and don't unchain him just yet. For the sake of art and everyone's mutual happiness. Also, if next week if skip week, I'll bloody e-mail you a picture of the best sadface I can manage.

(I assume that's Alice on her way into Whitechapel for the first time.)

I thought that at first. It's Mark following Alice (the false colour is what throws you)

And now for something completely different...

Creepy astral disco for the win! The color scheme in this reminds me of the opening pages of Grant Morrison's 'Invisibles', when King Mob is gobbling LSD and absorbing brain farts from the giant, disembodied head of John Lennon. It's beautiful and alien and you guys pulled it off perfectly.

So, every time an 'Angel goes to this place they hear the enormous and overwhelming sound of wings beating, or something similar. So, on the last page of this episode - does it look to anyone else like there's giant fuck off propellers turning behind the machine mountain in the background? I imagine that would make a bit of a racket, especially if they let KK make it.

( Just something weird I noticed, and any faith in it being related or even remotely correct is tenuous, at best... )

It's starting to look like considerable damage can be done to their minds/abilities in spite of being immortal. However , Arkady's return of focus of late may indicate that any damage is temporary.Still, I wonder if an attack on someone's autonomic functions is immenant now that Mark has pointed out this vulnerability. I wonder if the reason why he's talking to Conner is to manipulate him into being his 'attack dog' since his own control is apparently damaged? I could be wrong about this, it just seems to fit Mark's control methods to try something like this.

P.S.(I'd also like to apologise to all offended by my comments concerning people's intelect on this forum. I was attempting a sort of backhanded humour and fell flat on my face. I respect and enjoy all perspectives on this forum. I'll choose my words more carefully in the future.)

Kirk used to be the one with glasses, Karl the one with the tinfoil hat. But now both hven't got neither,Karl is the one still conscious (for now)

@ arf (and others) - I thought that at first. It's Mark following Alice (the false colour is what throws you)

It's Alice on page 4 (note the shotgun) and then Mark on page 5.

My mnemonic was "Kirk on the church. Karl in the garden.", but they've been separated from those environments for a while now.

Kirk with the vest, Karl with the t-shirt. That usually works for me. Though I guess I haven't been paying attention to clothing lately. I think they've finally just separated themselves in my brain by this point as two different personalities.

It's interesting to know that Mark had a stroke that his "future self" didn't bother to heal. Didn't bother? Or couldn't? Either way it explains the stridently off-kilter way he was acting towards Kait. Also, if not a bullet to the head, how best to stretch the package? (hur hur hur)
