12th Street sounds like a great place and isn't that far of a walk from the convention centre. My big thing is that I'll probably be more likely to show up on the Saturday than the Friday, as I'll just be arriving on the bus to NYC on Friday night and will most likely be having dinner with my host and then falling asleep.

@oldhat 12th and 2nd is about a 45min walk from the convention center, or 2.5 miles away. If that sounds close to you, more power to you, but I want to confirm you've got the right location.

@John, I tend to walk about 2 hours a day, so that really is pretty close in my eyes. But thanks for making sure!

Yea, we might not get to see each other, Oldhat. I have a business meeting at 7pm in New Jersey that can't be moved to any night except the 9th. If there are any gatherings/parties that end up being between 14th st/1st ave to Essex/Delancey I might wander out there to take a break from the long long train ride that will be Jersey City to Bushwick. Ugh.

So I'll be doing Friday, aiming to get there sometime around 6p.

I totally forgot until just now that I can't do a Friday meetup b/c my girlfriend and I have Gorillaz tickets for that night. Crap! Hopefully some people are going out on Saturday too...

@spike3185 I thought the plan was Saturday night all along?

I think what was going on was that glukkake will be at the place on Friday and people can join then. On Saturday we can all go to the same place or somewhere else. I'd suggest one of my favorite places McSorley's, which is cheap and is near some lovely food places and other bars, but is definitely a good trip away from the convention (15 East 7th Street) and most likely will be busy. But it's still a great place.

I dunno it looked like it was shifting to friday a bit. OK cool.

Now I'm all kinds of confused.

I wish I could be free Friday, but I'm not.

So I'm out Friday, in Saturday. I'll try to drop by McSorley's Saturday night if I haven't run into anybody yet. And later today I'll post an updated photo of myself just to increase chances of running into folks.

Oh! I was just suggesting that place, but if you're all down for it, we can make McSorley's the place of the Saturday Night booze-up. And if we end up not liking it we can walk towards any of the other nearby bars in the area.

    Does that sound good?
  6.  (8938.75)
I'm down with that, at least.

Sounds good to me. My nerd cock shirt just got here so I'll be wearing that on Saturday for sure.

Could someone summarize what's going on when and where for those of us who've already been catching up on our sleep deprivation?

This is me, in Central Park yesterday.

So, unfortunate change of plans for me. My grandfather passed away yesterday so I won't be around on Friday. I think I'm going to be by Saturday night though and should be stalking the floors on Sunday for the people still at the con.
