    Usual REMAKE/REMODEL rules apply:

No pen-portraits. This is ART ONLY. Posting just a bunch of text, or a scribble and a vast number of words, will get the thread closed and your account banned.

NO MORE PHOTO-MANIPULATION "art". I'll just delete them. People have been drenching recent threads with several pieces at a time that they've knocked out in photoshop in 2 minutes with no thought at all. I consider this to be taking the piss now.

HOWEVER: I will allow the interpolation of ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHS into the work.

No more than ONE submission by any one person in any one REMAKE/REMODEL.

    Now then. Pay attention:

    --------------

    Here's what you know.

A "doctor" with a funny foreign name performs a "procedure" on a skinny geek which turns said skinny person into a "super-soldier." It is decided that no-one must know who this person is, and so they are given to the US Army under the name "Captain America."

Possibly you weren't paying full attention when this was being explained to you. Possibly you have a drinking problem. And those headaches have been getting worse. Also, as the person who looks just like you and follows you around all day has commented, your poop has turned grey.

NONETHELESS. You must take what you heard and turn it into a character design.

    You have one week.

This seems really really really interesting. I really can't wait to see what people come up with.

Cap I really liked the bit in civil war where Captain Britain had died and they said something along the lines of "when Captain America died, Americans found out in an American way, they saw it on tv" like he was a real representation of what being American is, so I worked from that, there's nothing very supersoldierish about my Cap, I tried to give him a working man's profile, his shirt kind of reminds me of a baseball jersey, and that lame sketch on the side was something I was thinking about of the shield, to be, like a government's agency shield with an eagle and stuff but really didn't come out that well, so if you just pretend it's a real cool shield we'll be al right.

Edit: As you can see, I didn't fucking read that you HAD to take the whole silly super soldier thing into account, so now my poop has turned gray.

Who's to say what "super" means... Could be super average, or super unfit... Perhaps he's super normal...

Putting on my twisted thinking cap for this one. Damn, I'm still in my "No Nazis" clause for design work in 2010. Must be a loophole...

@Paul: Does "No Nazis" exclude fascists in general?

I didn't say anything about WWII.

Understood. This is where the best ideas will come in this thread. Off to brainstorm...

    Captain America

"Skinny geek" is an operational requirement; the hoverchair cannot carry more than 100lbs. The "procedure" is cybernetic, and the "doctor" with a funny foreign name is roboticist Shota Katayanagi, PhD. After extensive screening through video games, high-scorer Stevie Rodriguez (b. 9-11-2001) is permanently linked to the "Captain America" army combat drone as the ultimate "super-soldier".

This could be interesting. Will the majority of the group go for muscle clad warriors, or a more contemporary hi-tech approach?
  8.  (8980.19)
I'm just hoping someone takes the opportunity to see the negative aspects that would stem out of a powerful human being who's name is "Captain America". The guy should be a dick. (I love these threads [and this board!])

Seeing mine in the light of day, I realize it may need a little explanation. My idea was that our cap'n has been turned into a 50s-era cyborg killing machine (with super-secret future tech) that runs on all fours and has cat-like agility. My rendering was supposed to show it in the act of leaping toward its prey; hopefully it didn't come out looking more like a mechanized chicken.

Can't wait to see what sorts of genius and crazy you people come up with on this one!
