    So what are you playing today?

    (And are you using Ping? I'm not, looks a bit invasive to me, but you might be...)

    Last day of work before my "weekend" is always a bit rough. So I am pumping myself up on the bus ride by listening to some Folk Metal. Mainly Ensiferum, Finntroll, and Korpiklaani. Hopefully it will make the day a bit better!

    I am deep in a Togawa Jun hole, mostly the off-kilter art/synth-pop of her Yapoos work:

    And then by extension Senba Kiyohiko and his Haniwa All-Stars / Haniwa-chan projects:

    And I haven't checked out ping yet because I've just switched to itunes and I'm still wrestling with the rest of the program!

    Just found out about Delorean thanks to a friend who knows more about muzak than just about anyone I know. Listening to "Real Love." After that, Gorillaz' "On Melancholy Hill."

    Finally getting around to checking out this Das Racist chap. He sounds sleepy, in a kind of awesome way. This track sounds like he and Jay-Z are having a race to see who can fall asleep while rapping first. Likeably bizarre for mainstream 'ish.

    Also listening to some weird lo-fi / experimental rock from Glasgow, by This Guy's A Dick [pay-what-u-like DL]:

    Nik Bärtsch's [gesundheit] Ronin - Stoa

    Pretty much the optimal intersection of math and sheer groove.

    Also loving the incredible first album by Hidden Orchestra on Tru Thoughts. It's a widescreen, delicate, bruisingly tender epic. Truly lush.

    Hans Zimmers soundtrack for Inception and Jerry Goldsmiths discography.
    Plus a ton of old school rave/jungle/hardcore/idm music. Comprised mosty of tracks by Aphex Twin, Black Dog, Squarepusher and Venetian Snears.

    @Ales Kot

    I found his album to a bit boring in places and hasn't really moved on from his other stuff. Pehaps he should have gone back to the hardcore speed metal of his teenage years...
