The most recent ep was the weakest of the season in my opinion, but it was still good. And next week is an Orpheus (my favorite character) heavy episode. I can't wait, as we've only seen him once this season (with his hilarious I Dream of Jeannie line in the last episode)
I agree last night's episode was the weakest of the season, but hell look at the episodes they produced this season. It was still a great episode, and I loved Spider-Fillion singing along with Rusty, and how Dean was ignored once the singing started. It really shows that Dean can't be taken seriously by anyone, and for a few seconds he even took care of himself against a group of villains.
The Venture Bros. makes me all weak in the knees. And the show's creators are such an inspiration. I actually need to get a new Season 1 DVD because it's all busted up from too many viewings.
This season has been great so far but, yeah, last night's episode was probably the weakest in a while. Maybe it just feels that way because the preceding ones have been EXTRA-good. Also, I wouldn't mind having a full-length version of Rusty's song.
Heh, I picked up the first season at a market stall for like five bucks about a year ago, having never heard of the show. I finished watching it that night with my boyfriend. HILARIOUS. One of these days I have to get a hold of the other seasons. Maybe as an antidote after I finish Breaking Bad... Awesome show, but so very very depressing.
Erisah: Oh, my god. Have you not seen the second season before? You're in for a treat. The show really picks up the pace there.
Neil Ofsteel: Hmm... I think Brown Widow was just a general Spider-Man reference, not really a nod to Brown Coats for Nathan Fillion. He was a really last-minute guest star, replacing some audio that had been in place for, like, six months? Eh, I don't know. Maybe they did write it with Fillion in mind.
I liked how Brown Widow wasn't a complete parody but a more logical, re-examined version of Spidey; eight eyes and web coming out his back. Loved how Rusty was pissed off after Widow saved his life. Spidey always has to crack wise just when people are NOT in the goddamn mood :)
