Planning on attending opening night, if my schedule allows. Otherwise, I'll definitely catch it sometime over the weekend. Fairly excited, at any rate.
I tend to avoid movies for the first 2 weeks they are out. In fact have not been to a movie on the opening weekend in years.
That said, I'm planning to be front and center for this Friday night. Partly cause this movie looks fun and I think a crowd will add to that, and partly cause anything I can do to boost the first weekend and make this thing considered a hit I want to do (I presume the better this does, the more likely more of your stuff will get optioned....and I'd like to see that happen)
I'm sure I'll be adding my 2 cents again after I see it.
I'd love to but I'm afraid I won't have time this weekend.
As an aside, i was watching tv with my mom and some news show had a "what's coming in cinemas" piece. They showed a clip of Helen Mirren saying "I kill people, darling." My mom loved it.
Probably hitting it up Sunday before the Sunday Night I Stole Your Baby Kinga's Lounge Open Mic Comedy Really Long Nameathon, (Colfax and Marion, Denver CO!!! Come one come all!). But seriously though, it looks good. Great cast, good people are involved in the production; I'm sure it'll be awesome.
I plan to catch it as early as possible, even if I have to break my rule about going to the cinema alone. Seeing Brucie nonchalantly walk from that spinning car, gun blazing, has made me kinda eager for it... Little annoyed I've gotta wait till the 22nd to watch it though...
I really want to go, but my daughter's birthday is this weekend and we're hosting a bunch of 9 and 10 year-old kids, then I'm going to a wedding next weekend. I'm hoping that it'll still be in the theater in a few weeks when I have a chance to go see it. My husband and I are both really looking forward to it.
