I'm willing to bet that this is the same person as @JohnnyNeat, who I just ordered to go fuck himself on Twitter. He's on there chatting me up while simultaneously bragging about how Warren is a "thin-skinned sellout" who reacted badly to his honesty about the film. If it's the same guy, he's definitely a troll.

Even if it is bad (which it's not) support the movie because that will get Daddy Warbeard more work, which may result in more movies - even one you might like!

dkitsch: You don't "come off as trollish." You. Are. A. Troll. You signed up anonymously on the forum of one of the guys on whose work the film is based for the express purpose of saying it was "friggin (sic) awful," and you've contributed ONLY THAT. You're a TEXTBOOK troll, my friend.

-Next time try not to drink and write. It leads to things like me photoshopping some guy in a beer costume. Was there anything about the movie that you did like? Was the acting in it good? Was the soundtrack any good? Can you think of any movies that have a tone that's closer to that in the book?

Thanks for the advice Rootfireember. The violence in the book was brutal, the violence in the movie was "Kewl".off the top of my head i would say the bourn idenity was closer to the tone off the book. the movies tone was closer to space cowboys. To respond to Mr. cgaijin, I had a well intentioned review in my head when i signed up only to have a massive brainfart. I didnt sign up with the singular goal of pissing people off. Just seemed like a good idea at the time. so on that note i will slick away sheepishly from the room

One more thing. Any movie with Brian Cox gets an extra star

Hey, it's cool. It's not like none of the regulars have ever posted weird drunken diatribes. If your post actually managed to piss someone off, they need to develop a thicker skin.

As for the movie, I'm really expecting an unfortunately regular Hollywood action romp. Which is fine, if it's well executed. Hell, I even liked Wanted, so it's not like I'm especially picky.

Still definitely going to see it, since it (hopefully) gets our dear Internet Jesus one step closer to having a say in the next adaptation. Plus, you know, food for the equine.

ETA: LLTBM and a thousand yeses on the Brian Cox thing.

To reply to Mr agentarsenic. Yes i would like to see more warren ellis adaptations. Good ones. Global frequency could have been something special. Do I want to see Planetary adapted to tv? No, because they will fuck it up. I see Planetary as a love letter to fans of genere fiction. If it made it to tv it would become a sub-par x-files clone. And another respose for mr. cgaiJin(do you live in japan?) you arn't wrong. my intentions aside. A buddy of mine asked me for a movie to watch. gave him repo man. later he was all pissed about it. "thats two hours of my life you took."
What didnt you like about it? It was stupid.Hrrmmm.What was stupid about it? The whole fucking movie! Hrrrrmmm.

Yeah, this'd be the guy who spent two weeks messaging me on Twitter, with increasing shrieking tone, about how the RED movie was a terrible thing blah blah. And then I blocked him, because he was too far gone to talk to. So now I'm a thin-skinned sellout. Amazing.
