I know its only four, but most of the other artists I'd like to see you work with, you already have, and I'm guessing you're more interested in new blood.
The art I've seen in the R/R threads here has been outstanding - these are the four people who if I saw their name on a comic in my LCS, I would buy it without flicking through.
Well done, Joseph, I had to google two of those...!
My pleasure.
If you get the chance, what with being Deus Ex Machina of the internet and whatnot, check out Blame!, Biomega, and Araba. Nihei's work evolves hugely over the course of the Blame's 10 tank?bon's. Its a wonder to behold. Might I ask who the other artist you had to google was?
Russ Braun, an all-around exceptional artist and one of the best at facial expressions.
J.H. Williams III. I'm trying to pick artists you didn't work with before (as far as I know), but Williams' inventiveness with page layouts and his overall brilliance go so wonderfully well with your writing I can't leave him out.
Paul Sizer, of course.
Goran Parlov, whose art is incredibly dynamic and with an impeccable visual narrative.
Peter Snejbjerg. Few artists do "less is more" as well as him. A very reliable storyteller with a minimalistic style capable of rendering surprisingly powerful panels. He drew a PREACHER special with an unforgettable panel of Herr Starr gritting his teeth in pure hatred. Another example of his competence can be seen in another Ennis comic: the last page of the third and final issue of DEAR BILLY, from the BATTLEFIELDS series.
Yanick Paquette. Very clean, beautifully-shadowed and well-composed artwork.
