Mostly electronic stuff at the moment, can't seem to find anything new or interesting happening in rock / metal at the moment (although I'm always open to suggestions). Come to think of it, the last metal band I really got into were Gama Bomb, and they can hardly be described as innovative. Over the past day or so, I've been listening to

    ill.gates - Autopirate (Remixed)
    Peter Baumann - Romance 76
Safi Allah Abdullah - Afrika is Burning, and Black Man is Doing the Freak (Vocal & Dub)
OC ReMix - Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix OST
    Pop! Goes Dubfluencial Vol. 3
The Radiation Line - EP3 (awesome drone / doom / psych / whatever group featuring one of the guys from my local record shop)

For me, it's Flash of the Blade by Avenged Sevenfold.

Oh, and also Ta Doleur by Camille.

Currently it's RSE Radio's tribute to Eyedea, who recently passed away from unknown circumstances. Huge loss for independent, underground hiphop.
You can get the mix here:

Waiting in the wings is FACT magazine's mix by LV, one of the quieter bits of the Hyperdub roster, and the "VICE IS GAY" mix by HEALTH, which actually might just consist of stuff I already have. I need some new witch haus.

Slough Feg - The Animal Spirits

Took a few listens due to the lofty expectations I inadvertently set for it and it's fucking godly

I like it! Good stuff. Listening to:

    Grinderman - Grinderman 2
Current 93 - Birth Canal Blues
    Autechre - Chiastic Slide

...and Slint - Spiderland. Again. I'm creating a new mini-series with a very cool artist, and this is just the right playlist for it.

"It's like Apocalypse Now v.2012 & Fight Club & The Medusa Touch and Zulawski's Possession and the soundtrack is Grinderman 2. Draw."

A little duo from Sydney that i keep coming back to this week while i'm essay writing...kinda trippy...and i always like female vocals when i need to get into a good headspace for research and writing. <>

Also alternating between Buck 65's 'Secret House Against the World' and some Tom Waits live recordings.

I seem to have developed a massive and probably slightly unhealthy obsession with Flux Pavilion's "Digital Controller"
