Thanks very much for sharing. Just a first perusal of it is already inspiring a few ideas to play with very soon. (Actually, triggering a couple notions i wish i had when i was working on that last print)
Thanks, Ken. There's a whole bunch of stuff in it - background is white gesso over black gesso, base of the fish is Tri-Art Liquid Mirror, the halftone dots are Montana Gold spraypaint (the fish lineart is, too), and the glaze on the fish is pyrrole orange.
Hey Man! Thank you so much! It is very kind of you, my friend! If ever I can return the favor, drop me a line. :)
Here be another bit o' the fan art. This is my homage / remake of the cover to Mystery in Space # 106 featuring Ultra the Multi-Alien. I love the old goonie characters. Everything in comics these days is so "serious".... I miss comics that were fun and adventurous without needing to resort to over the top dysfunctional sturm and drang...
Just seen the PREDATORS movie, so felt inspired to have a bash. Was (inexplicably) going to have him walking up a spiral staircase, but I've taken too long over him as it is. Maybe revisit with some splashing colour when I've got a little more time?
Feckin awesome thread this month gang, it just keeps getting better & better. ilove popping in to see what you've all been up too, most inspiring!
@NeilFord: Bloody Hell! I'm glad that fellow is completely fictional. Also, I've been totally jealous of your value, and texture for some time. And what's that world that means it feel more 3D? Sculptural?
This is where I am in doing the Justice League -- I think this team could have saved the world in the 70s ... and I also am glad I purchased Mister Perkins ap. Damn fun art.
The steampunk Batman thread got me going so I had a root in the digital attic and dug out these steam punk vehicle ideas, they're part of the brain fart session for a possible adaptation of a strategy game I was working on a few years ago. I just daubed colour over the original sketches so they are pretty rough and ready.
