    ragnarok-thor-colour

    I'm gonna beef up the portfolio - with a make believe game called Ragnarök - essentially Norse mythes (or what I can skim read at wikipedia) drawn as a large sci-fi style spectacle, this is, obviously, Thor. Initially The Ragnarök thing was just a way to give me some focus on what I was drawing, but I'm quite enjoying the whole exercise. So who knows.

    (It's also solved my christmas card dilemma - Thor versus the Ice Giants I think...)

    @pj - dude, that's pretty bitchin'. I love the detailing and textures on the armor.

    Holy shit, I love this thread.

    Just finished this tonight, after a solid 8 hours of Photoshop today (on top of all the work preceding that, of course):

    That's great. I wish I could draw cars without either a lot of work or sketchup.

    Thanks. That one actually did require a shitload of work, and a couple sketches. All time well spent, though.

    @pauljholden: that does look like a game design indeed. Good job!

    (minor rant: I'm tired of seeing these superbulky characters all over games that I can't identify with... which is probably why I prefer first person games.

    I squeezed in three sketches on Sunday jsut so that I don't feel miserable about not having much time to draw during the week of 12 hour night shift.

    Madwizard
    All Ears (one's missing though)
    Brainlings

    Thursday is off so I'll try to do a couple more (right now the second Inkbook book is at 19 pieces, the goal is 52 or 53, if I decide to use the inside backcover for another illustration).

    Here's the first Inkbook, if anyone's interested in picking it up.

    @kevinmellon - Nice style.

    @howyadoin - Love the car's colour scheme & chopped-down windscreen.

    Because everyone was too polite to say it over in the REMAKE thread, even though they MUST have been thinking it...
    The REAL design inspiration/homage/ripoff of my version of this week's REMAKE challenge:

    Paul that's really funny, and way to close to what I was working on, so I'm going back to the drawing board.
