Something quick I just cooked up while talking to a friend on ICQ - accordingly, whatever it is has got his face :D

@Yskaya: I'm digging the short stroke grey hatching going on in that drawing. Very textural and nice to look at.

@DerkhanBlue: Really nice image; I like the body language as well, really conveys a mood well.

This one's a watercolour from a series of illustrations I just did for a documentary.

Don't know if this is of interest, but here's some process of me trying to figure out some comic pages. There's chaos, some thumbnails, lots of tiny notes and I clearly got sidetracked with a girly drawing. She has nothing to do with the story.

Here are a couple that were just published in "Fist Full Of Comics" out of Australia.

I think this one turned out to be kinda funny - which was the point of it all.

I try to do a self portrait on my birthday every year. Here's this years--age 51. Watercolor and ink.

    Me at 51

And the ink drawing for it (which I scanned before using the watercolor just in case I fucked it up too bad.)

    Pictures of You - teaser

This is a teaser image from PICTURES OF YOU, a short comic I'm slooowly drawing. It's the third time I'm collaborating with Juan Arteaga, with whom we did years ago the very popular NEW ADVENTURES OF SIGMUND FREUD...

I'm guessing some of you are like me, and you're much more fascinated by the process than the final? below, sketches for this week's remake/remodel submission.
    clockwise from top left:
Jeff explaining something with segmented crops of alien backgrounds. Felt too much like an Invincible trade cover and the atom-age electron/planet orbits seemed easy / three panel strips = wide book. Deluxe hardcover anthology with exposed bookcloth and debossed applique images like Fantagraphics might publish? Alien tentacle bits emergine from corners / line up of alien figures above home planet-to-scale chart, Jeff Hawke under Earth, but @Art Grafunkle did it better / aliens around a floating conference table, Jeff Hawke's back to reader, puny by comparison / lettering, notches dropped / too many ideas at once, illegible / brush pen pre .psd clean up / aged Jeff Hawke, retired warhorse turned diplomat with floating prosthesis.

First image is for a wine label I'm designing, to slap on some bottles at a local vineyard, to give to some family for the holidays.

Second is the under-drawing for a personal project I'm working on.
