I for one welcome the daytime TV of the post-apokkalypse. The Jeremy Kyle Show hosted by Luke: "Don't make me make you come back out here Mary." Location, Location, Location with Arkady, Cache in the Attic/Basement with Kirk and Karl and Flog It! with Sirkka. If Top Gear was presented by KK, I could develop an interest.
In fairness to Kait, if you are going to purge someone's brain then it seems like half a job not to purge it HARD. She's just livin' the dream, risssspick.
This morality thing is a drag though eh? A few remote-control pawns might come in handy in the near future...
Kait always manages to be both charming and terrifying, sometimes in the same installment. Bringing back her mad Quincy love was an unexpected hoot. But then her anticipation of police brutality christmas sent a proper chill down my spine.
Personally, it's been major ups and downs. I'm a good part of the ways through digging myself out of project backlog hell. Giants World Series fever swept me up, even though I'm not an intense baseball fan. And my "unfit for man or beast" mood brought on by the November national election results has started to morph into something more positive.
THAT'S what I said - Everyone except for her and Mark got it from Conner, but she'd already had it twice. Waitaminnit ... Conner DID skip Mark when he did that, didn't he?
[ Actually, since Conner skipped the already upgraded again Arkady, then it stands to reason that he skipped the already upgraded Mark too. I hope for Arkady's sake, anyway... ]
[[ no wait fuck I forgot Luke too man my brains are shit this year...]]
Berserker, you're right, apologies. I just misread that part of the rainy thing and Luke a little bit, sorry. ;-)
And I think your last remark is right: since Conner skipped Arkady there's a fat chance he skipped Mark as well. But on the other hand: if he did NOT skip Mark, would that mean Mark would be knocked out twice as long too? In that case Arkady has no opposition to fear from a double-knocked-out Mark.
But, in her eery way of acting, I feel pretty confident in that sympathetic girly...
waitaminniiiiit ... even though Mark threw up a shield, why has he been out this long? didn't he say something about a stroke, and does that mean he went out too, and is busy getting his second upgrade? or am i just piss-artist'ing? or is the stroke next week? or ... dammit, i'm just confused about why Mark has been out all this time. time to crack another bitter...
I think Arkady is prepared for far more than the rest of them, and she's going to demonstrate it soon. I laughed aloud at the "precious" line, that was hilarious! Love the colors too-- Weather here is wet and warmer than you'd think for a possible storm front rolling through, but I am glad of that. I am really not ready for snow yet.
Alan, concerned for Arkady? Hmmmm... like Karyl I think she is better prepared than many think, and she keeps her sanity very well by being just hat slightly insane which prevents her from going compleely crazy. So concerned? Well.... just a tiny little bit, but I guess you'd not want to encounter her when she ever looses her temper, for I just have that itsy witsy feeling that even Kait Quincy is a sweet teddybear compared to an angry Arkady....
@SoftSpot - The US helicopter? Check back epsiode 112, especially pages 3 and 5. By the time it reaches Whitechapel it is out of fuel for.... about 20 hours? How long can a Seaking stay airborne?
Maybe I'm interpreting things wrong, but I figured the "time moat" works relatively. That is, if you're crossing the moat time flows normally for you - it takes you all of a minute to cross the road - but meanwhile 24 hours have passed inside Whitechapel. So the helicopter could quite easily fly into Whitechapel without running out of fuel, it's just that from the perspective of anyone inside the town it won't arrive until tomorrow.
*giggles* More than any Kady & chikkinz, more than KK poking at the boys, more than Kirk & Karl poking back, This episode made me laugh hard enough to get up my smoker's wheeze. "police brutality Christmas" BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahaha!!!!
I was thinking Mark is in the middle of his second upgrade thanks to the FA strike on his brainmeats that resulted in a stroke. More worried about how the time moat and...thing... will bring unexpected things to Whitechapel and Arkady will have to deal with it as well as managing a town full of scared norms. Also unclear on how much longer Luke will be out from the chairleg to the head. Maybe he'll go all "my enemy's enemy" and join forces with Mark or maybe he'll find some other new way to be a shithead. And maybe, after a full day, a big troop transport helicopter will get through a space that should have taken ten minutes to cross and, completely out of fuel, crash down on Whitechapel. Good times.
This week has not been what I was expecting. though I should have expected to not be remotely productive, I didn't expect my brain to be whirring nearly constantly. I feel like I haven't created much because my hands can't hope to keep up with my mind. which on an objective level is lame and sucks but on a subjective level, it's like I've been high all week. Maybe it's all the candy that's still in the house post-Halloween.
