These works of art aren't paintings, though: they are artworks created with found objects, housed in glass-fronted boxes. 			<![CDATA[@howyadoin - Cheers.<br />I really like Marijke's work: every room in her house is filled with arcane, strange objects. She has a very long, darkly-lit corridor in her home that holds a whole bunch of her works, inset into the wall, and it's cool just to walk along the corridor, checking out each one. Photographing them is tricky because a lot of them are so hard to show in 2D because she uses the three dimensional environments of the glass-fronted boxes to hide or obscure certain elements: you sometimes have to peek through apertures to see the hidden features - so some of her more elaborate creations remain un-photographed. And there's also the problem of getting a good shot without picking up the reflections on the glass.<br />I'm going over to Holland again in early December and I'm hoping to get some more photos of her other work then.]]>
