@FredG - Heh... Thanks. I thought about doing that myself, but was hoping someone might actually correct it in Timothy Bacon's post directly. :)

I'm not going to be able to get any work done as long as these threads keep being movie poster oriented.

Hopefully this image size won't crush the thread like my last. Full size (PDF) is here.

Oh, yeah. Thanks to FredG for correcting the link to Timothy Bacon's piece. That's just frighteningly gorgeous.

Thanks FredG for fixing my post - I'm definitely internet retarded!

Thanks for all the kind comments on the piece - I really appreciate them.

A little background on the piece - I shot with fetish rock and roll star 'The Richard' last week and during the shoot he put on the outfit in the shot - my studio partner and I immediately started laughing - we thought it looked like Spiderman 2099 - then a couple of days later I check Whitechapel and lo and behold there's this challenge. The David Lynch touch was the background - the shadowed buildings are actually Big Ben and surrounding rooftops but they got a little lost with some of the layers of details (I was trying to evoke the wonderful London of Elephant Man.

    Spider-Man">

Not so sure mine actually looks like a movie poster... or very Lynch-ian. Also, it is the most craptastic scan job, but there is nothing I can do about that. Who knew that xerox machines can now scan (badly)??

    Maw and Paw Parker

    Forgive the slightly hackneyed concept.

The thing in his hand is a Birthing Wand, made of a spare bit of old Grandpa Parker.

(Um...is it showing up as just a black rectangle for you? It's not meant to be.)

OK, this thread's going in the right direction, because most of these entries are really starting to creep me out...

"Arachnean Gothic" gets an A+ as an awesome subtitle.

Holy wow. Stumbled across Raid71's stylish entry in a friend's Tumblr, which prompted me to revisit this thread. Some really amazing submissions this week.

    @ Valente - that's a wonderful Stanton.

I've posted my lesser poster version over on the self portrait thread, if only because I didn't want to waste those Lynchy photos of red lipstick and curtains.

Really glad to see Raid71 and Sobreiro's pieces getting so much love in the blogosphere. They are deserved!

And I love the fact that our posters are being called "wacky" on some of these sites. Yeah, THAT was what I was going for..."wacky". : )

I really love how the people are bringing the thunder in to this thread. The thunder being a Spanish dwarf who talks backwards that represents EXCELLENCE. And sexual repression.

Excellent work, everyone. I'm loving it.

Also because of this I think I'm going to rent Eraserhead.
