Okay, while looking for a fake spider for a particular idea, I decided that damn it, a real one would make it all the better. So I searched some of my photos from a while ago and found this and, well, I think it works... Tried to make it look as much like early Lynch as possible.

ARGH. Ok, I have spent a retarded amount of time on this, and I should stop mussing about with an alternate version or five, and just post the first one I finished. Though... I might keep mussing with my other versions. What else am I going to do with a ga-zillion pictures of me in a dank basement or in front of curtains with dramatic lighting?

(i'm really glad I spent two hours taking photographs of spiderwebs one night last month)

    What if...

All the big scary spiders I've seen are in my wife's family home back in Japan.

    David Lynch - Spiderman

David Lynch would eat David Cronenberg for breakfast

After looking at some of the more recent entries I think I did end up on the Cronenberg end of the dial. I think @Rachæl Tyrell captured all of the Lynch personal psychological creepies without any spiderman superheroness. Perfect for a Lynch film.

We have a saying here in Portugal that illustrates well this thing is on the internet: "Not everything that comes into the net is fish!"

Jesus Christ! An amazing idea and some great posters so far. Sebfowler I love the mood and feel of that one.

I'm trying to figure out how to get the log lady and lawnmowers involved for mine.

I also spotted a poster design competition for Ridley Scott's Alien Prequel over on Super Punch.

Maybe David Lynch would favor the Spiderman 2099 look?

(Would someone please fix the coding for Mr. Bacon? That's actually a pretty tight entry he's got linked there...)

Holy... looking at this thread through chickvision (fingers draped over the eyes), a couple entries forced me to run away already. But ...holy fuck, Bacon, (and thanks for reposting it correctly FredG) that was worth it. ... Damn. Just. Damn.
