This past spring I self-published a book titled Liquid Dreams: April 2051. Since I have to do all the marketing I haven't sold but three dozen copies, not to mention the dozen I gave away as gifts. I am not very good at marketing myself, so I am trying here. If you've got about $25 burning a hole in your pocket and you don't know what to do with it, go to Amazon or PublishAmerica.com and do a search for the books title.
But I'm not simply going to pimp myself here.
Warren Mentioned in an email awhile back about self-publishing, and of all of the other POD websites I've visited, PublishAmerica didn't want ANY money upfront. Which was nice for me, since I didn't have any. Of course they got thier money when I bought 50 copies of my own book to sell from my tax return money, but you get them at a discount and can sell them yourself for a profit, which I've almost broken even so far.
So for all of you guys and gals who have a finished manuscript sitting around collecting dust because you "can't get published without an agent and you can't get an agent without being published" maybe give PublishAmerica.com a try. I'm using it hopefully as a springboard to get an agent to sell my next novel or novellas for me since as I said before I'm not very good at marketing myself.
If you happen to take a chance and buy a copy, let me know what you think, so far the response had been positive, but I'm a pessimist, what the fuck do I know about optimism.
