Anyone going along? I'll be there as an independent, taking pictures and trying to make sure that if anything nasty happens it gets filmed.

And yes, I know it's not very clever to post online if you are going to be one of these anonymous masses, but still, just say you're likely to be passing by, or something.

Personally, I'd just like to see a thread of all the videos that will no doubt be flooding the internets come Monday morning and discuss it with my fellow "WhiteChapli." I asked in the rules section if this was cool and Warren handed down a firm "No," so I'm going to have to respect that.

I said "no" because I'll be amazed if anyone shows up and have no interest in a thread that's basically just a humiliating emptiness.

I know of a fair few people who have said they're going, but as to whether they do or not, that's another matter. I suspect a lot of them will be, like me, turning up to see if anything is going to happen, and out of curiosity rather than a desire to protest.

I'm a posterchild for the current War On TerrorĀ® so I'm avoiding public protests...

I am am interested beyond reason in this whole thing, mostly for the social theory it brings up. But what I expect tommorow is everyone will assume other people are going, as they stay home and post late caturday pics to 4chan.

@JTraub: If you & I are anything to go by, the whole thing fails tomorrow.

@OctEgon: Presumably you're following this close enough to know where to look, so let's keep this where it belongs rather than bring an unwanted youtube flood to Whitechapel.

Why not? If I've learned anything from Forust Gump, it's that standing in a line never hurt nobody.

Oh, tomorrow? Crap, I'm playing bridge.

@radian - i know where to look, but maybe others don't. [shrug] just checking my options. I'm also smart enough to not push something that isn't wanted. :)

Just got back. Several hundred protesters. Loads of V masks. Good laugh really. Pictures soon.

Right on, I'm looking around to see what happened stateside. Supposedly there were going to be protests here as well.

The only thing I learned from Forest Gump was that it was actually possible to get diabetes from watching a film...

A fairly good summary of the London protest.
