It's Black Friday, it's FREAKANGELS. I am well aware of what you may be about to call the typo in this thread's title: go on, tell me it's a lie. You can't.

Happy day after gorging, Americans, and happy "why is everything suddenly sold out from online stores" day for the rest of the world. How's everyone?

I'm not bad thanks Ariana. I spent the last two days flushing a stubborn virus out of my office computer (god knows how it got in there, I mean as far as I can remember I haven't opened any penis enlargement spams recently) and then had to come home early after paint fumes from the office next door made the air completely unbreathable.

I'm really digging the current momentum of the comic. No action, explosions or wild crazy things, just page after page of our heroes (well, for a certain value of 'hero') sniping at each other. Good stuff! We also seem to have ended up with a kinder, gentler Luke...

You know what I love best about Freakangels? The banter. I mean, Warren's dialogue has always been one of his strongest elements, but the way these characters talk and interact (I'm thinking of Kait in the last panel, specifically, for this episode), is just so damn real. That's how real people, real friends, actually talk. Well, my friends anyway! Maybe my friends are weird? Not sure. My point is, the Freakangels are real to me in a way that no other comic book characters can manage. I've identified with characters before - Shade, Dane McGowan, Cassidy, Wee Hughie, Spider - but none have ever felt this much like real people.

I'm good, thanks for asking! Released an EP of hip-hop music this week, and read one of my short stories at a spoken word event. Looking forward to the all-day festival I'm playing at on Saturday. I'll echo Ariana in saying happy belly-rubbing day to the Yanqui on this forum! Hope y'all had a good time.

I'unno, I think Epidose works better, seeing as we're all usually jonesing for our FreakFix by the time each Friday rolls around.

Intriguing stuff - that panel of Sirkka pacing down that tight alleyway just feels so loaded with meaning. Actually what it means I'm not sure of yet, but I'm looking forward to finding out. And though I'm enjoying these last few quiet episodes, I'm very much waiting for the other shoe to drop. Something is coming.

All good here. The week has been pretty kind to me, I've been sleeping like a baby and the weekend ahead looks promising. This time next week I will be on my way to All Tomorrow's Parties, which makes me very pleased indeed.

Afternoon. I am saying nothing. See not even mentioned it.

Spent the week trying to get shot of the cold that dogged my over the long weekend.

Much quieter weekend coming up, but need to decide how we're going to manage Xmas shopping with the 8 week old...

Luke definitely seems a little... simplified now (check his expression in the first page)

HAHAHAHAH Is the Sex Guru girl wearing cover up cloths and walking alone with a non-exuberant look on her face? Really? I wonder if that is regret. Makes me want to laugh a mean laugh. But you will all yell at me.

Hello, time for our weekly dosis of FA. So, what typo? I don't see any, it IS an epic dose of good things I look out for every week.

The dickhead seems to stay for a while, the others still figuring out how and what, Sirkka... finally realizing the magnitude of things? Don't know, she looks a bit cramped in that small alleyway... kind of locked in. That frame makes me feel a bit claustrophobic.

My week was ok, hope the same goes for you.

Who knew a single word could be so funny? Mr Ellis, I suppose.

The thing about Sirkka is that her character has like 4 main points that she believed in and that she believed defined her so what could have changed? All I know is that when I go through tragedy or a close call to loss or straight up loss I realize how important my partner is and how unimportant everything else is, how unimportant it is to help others when you yourself are unhealthy, you know, take the plank out of your eye first sort of thing. So maybe she is realizing how important her soulmate is in the grand scheme of things and that her hippy dippy free love ways weren't as enlightened as she thought they were, now that she has a grand veiw of the whole scheme of things, just because you can magically make STDs go away doesn't take away from the nuclear power emited from a commited love story. Am I rambling. Well I am a rambler. Good stuff Ellis, you aren't over the hill like Claremont YET!

Don't tell me Sirkka's leaving. Don't tell me she's going to give Jack more shit.

This "six pages a week stuff" is fine and all but I want a hard copy of this. I like to read, re-read and re-re-read this comic. The level of detail, a buncha pixels on a screen just don't cut it for me. So glad to hear Vol 5 is coming out soon. Then I can give you money and we'll both be happy.

Hello Ariana, hope you're feeling better. And to all American Whitechapellers, Happy Thanksgiving even though it was a month ago.

Wow now that I finally caught up I find waiting a week excruciating! I think being immortal has mellowed out the FA. However they are going to resolve conflicts from now on lethal force is 'off the table'. Knowing you have to live with the others may change your outlook! I think that's part of Luke's and Sirkka's deal. Guess they have to behave like adults now!

Okay, what happened to Luke? He seems like a little kid. Maybe he's just putting up a front to get sympathy, or has brain damage. But it's weird.

enjoyed this week's comic as always.

its been a rough week. notice of imminent redundancies issued at the start of the week, with the actual "at risk" letters going out next week. so we've all been on edge all week. i am also paranoid as hell, i've been made redundant twice, both times at christmas...

was sitting this morning catching up on yesterday's twitter, when i came across a stream of tweets about the death of peter christopherson. coil are a huge influence on me, and the loss of christopherson has been in me since reading that 1st tweet.

but hey, at least on the west coast of the UK we've not been hit by the snow thats hit the east coast, fingers crossed it stays that way.
