Just when I thought the glorious gluttony of my favorite holiday was over I find one more thing in which to be thankful (and to indulge). The Friday dose of Freaks. So thanks to all you freaks behind the FreakAngels.

In celebration of another fine weeks work I think you blokes should all go out and get yourself way to much turkey and stuffing and gravy and cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes and biscuits and yams and pumpkin pie and a lot of wine and go give most of it away to people who are hungry (which could just be your 11 closest friends). Then take a nap. It really is the best. You can call it Freaksgiving.

BTW. Do you think that a group of Christian extremists who fled England so they could live an austere life free of religious oppression would have liked to be remembered with a celebration where one of the seven deadly sins is the main tenet? God I love this country. And I love the Freakangels. Thanks again. I'm going to go have leftovers for breakfast..and lunch...and take a nap and dream of helicopters and phallic forehead graffiti and upgraded Freakishness. Cheers.

No KK for the past couple of issues. I'm curious to see what she got out of the upgrade. Someone should really check on poor Alice, who seems to be freaking the hell out, up on the tower.

There is definitely something going on with Sirkka. She was the one who seemed to be flushing out all of the bugs Mark had planted in the people around town...maybe she learned something important? It's possible that all of the clothing is because it's cold, but she normally seems to wear as little as possible, This whole comic, beginning to present is only taking place withing the space of a week or so (so far). Would the temperatures vary that wildly, or is she wrapping herself up for comfort or to hide something? Hmmmm.

Had a wonderful Turkey Day, here in the States, and now sitting at home ignoring the mass mob of capitalist shopping zombies rushing the stores on Black Friday just so I can enjoy another wonderful installment of FreakAngels.

    Cheers all!

Have a good one Mr. Duffield and Mr. Ellis!

Always up for another epidose of Freakangels. }:> I do wonder what's up with Sirkka. The 'Angels never seemed to be bothered by the elements and to go from what looks like t-shirt weather to a chill that calls for an overcoat in something like a week or two doesn't make a lot of sense. So the cause is not outside Sirkka, it's inside. Hm. Miki ~ Luke = LOL Karl & Kirk ~ Luke = oh right. Well I'm glad they're not letting it slide. I'm glad they're not going to leap to trusting the rat bastard.

But still... "I can make you poo on command." *cackle*

The gorging and family company yesterday balanced out negatives that shot through my day. Late last night I vanquished some malware after much headbanging, hairpulling and yes, a couple tears, but with the help of instructions posted on the Intarwub I got Malwarebytes to do it's thing and the fucking virus is gone. Still, I wouldn't mind tattooing a penis on the heads of all malware authors. Today awful cramps laid me up all morning. Iritis is up going strong and it'll be at least three days before I can (*maybe*) get to an ophthalmologist. This could be bad.

Love this ep! Luke is having a classic didn't-know-what-I-had-till-it's-gone moment, considering how he spent the first four books bitching about how the others were treating him instead of evaluating his own behaviour. Warren, you almost made me feel sorry for him he may never be accepted back into the group without considerable work at true remorse, is that something an upgrade can give?

Tighty-whities?? Really??? Pictured him as more of the commando type... maybe boxer briefs. But tighty-whities...I dunno. Just can't take a full grown man in those things seriously.

Frexels: It's probably because he has the wieght of mortality lifted off his shoulders, Him more than others seems to have a lot of angst and anger. Frustration removal often lifts a sever bad attitude. It's funny that this in contrast to Sirkka who now seems to have a large burden on her shoulders. Strange flip the rapist and the healer but now it seems their general attitudes have almost completely flipped.

AisforAmy: There are somethings we know about the future, one is that it will get bad and it will be all because of them and what they have done (possibly because what they have done to help people). We also know that they are one day sitting on a giant radio tower of some kind. These are Tesla Tikes these freakangels.

I don't know what to make of Luke. Since his return, he's been sort of cute and childlike, but then you read old issues back and remember just how vile he was. I am curious to know what's happened to him and if he really has changed. It might be interesting to see him fighting alongside the others for once. But he should not be too easily forgiven. Also... he should keep the tousled hair cos it looks better than being slicked back.

I also wonder what's going to happen with Sirkka. Curious to know the extent of what Miki can do now and Kait... I think she's fighting her way up to being my fave!

Luke? Wait till he sees his face in a mirror...

    In a word... roiling.

Just a point, but that giant radio tower moment doesn't need to be as far in the future as it might have first appeared. Previously it looked like the kind of thing they'd actually build at some point in the future, which kind of gave the impression it would be pretty far off. But we recently saw them hanging out on/around it inside their own heads. So as far as we know they might be chatting to bullet-hole-Luke as soon as next episode. And then die the episode after.

Luckily Warren Ellis =/= Ben Elton.

@Ben Klumaster - Didn't Luke (during his post-resurrection rant) say he felt that the future 'Angels were about 20-30 years ahead?

Here we are - Episode 99, page 5, Panel 4

Of course, that doesn't mean his impressions are accurate...

It's a fair point. But yeah, it IS Luke.
