Annie Wu -- Fucking circle A, that totally made my morning. I'm still awed. This really makes me want to hire Annie for our next CD cover, it would be all sorts of win. I can't even begin to sort out how many ways that picture is awesome.
After years of nervously looking at the place from a corner bus-stop, I finally registered at Whitechapel in order to say how much I like the remake by Annie Wu. Woooow.
@mthemordant - I thought yours was excellent but @Annie has blown everyone else into the weeds with a truly stunning image, sorry @sobreiro!
its already kicking up a storm out there,- http://albinwonderland.tumblr.com/ http://fashiontipsfromcomicstrips.tumblr.com/post/2072088619/annie-wu-redesigned-the-justice-league-for-warren http://www.tencentticker.com/projectrooftop/
Annie wins! I can already picture the depressing Behind the Music style fate of Wonder Woman. Batman ended up doing great in his solo projects though ^__^
@BattGuano - thanks! Glad mine got a little love, even though it got steamrollered by the crazy good entry from Annie. But I'm not jealous or anything. (Yes I am. That shit is wicked awesome!)
I feel a little bit dirty looking at all this fantastic talent FOR FREE. Paul Sizer's unending style, the power in mthemordant's piece. And I've just spent 10 minutes spotting great-new-things-that-I-love in Annie's piece.
I was posting my drawing at, like, 3AM so any comments I tried to type barely made sense. But it's not 3AM now!... I wanted to say the entries this week have been really fun. Those of you that jumped right in with the full-on 70s punk poster treatment are braver than I. Oh, also, Sobreiro's "Sodding Mates" made me laugh out loud.
Rachæl: I'm glad you appreciate the little fish hook earring! I spend a good chunk of time on those sorts of dumb details and as I'm drawing them in, I question if anyone ever notices. And thanks for getting my even dumber Flash(er) joke.
Warren: Ohh, it warms my robot heart to hear that. Thanks for a prompt that gave me an excuse to draw Aquaman throwing up in his hand.

it's the little things like these, that make me all warm inside - and glad to have Whitechapel around. My husband shouted as soon as he saw it - SEE! I KNEW AQUAMAN WAS A PUSSY!
I didn't get to finish. I had to go off and experiment with acrylics and try to do it all in one night and that didn't take. But I wanted to show something for staying up so here's a peak:
Some people were talking about remake/remodels over at the place that shall not be named, and there seems to be a consensus that a turn of the century carney freak style x-men would be awesome.
