It's not the Troubadour specifically. I'm just not a fan of that stretch of Santa Monica Blvd (nightmarish parking, which is pretty much par for the course in L.A., and too close to Beverly Hills for my taste). If you were playing the El Rey or The Smell I'd probably be there (though if you were playing The Smell you'd probably be looking at a tenth of what you'll probably be getting from the Troubadour.
