I got that scar on my arm, but stopping a crackhead from stealing a ten dollar pipe from the head shop I work at. It's the principle of the matter, you see.
Heyo Folks! I'm Jeff. Discovered Freakangels fairly recently, and it's bloody brilliant. Ended up reading the entire back catalogue in a day, and am now completely hooked. Hoping to do a little story work fr a friends comic soon enough, so fingers crossed for that one. I'm also a chemistry technician and waiter. Apparently a while ago I decided I didn't need free time, and decided to replace it all with jobs..
Been reading FA since it launched, but just signed up for whitechapel. Currently in India (been here a bit over two years now), but I'll be heading back to the States (Virginia) in a couple of weeks. The scars on my arms are from sliding down the road for about 50 meters after my motorcycle lost an argument with a median strip a few years ago. Which, I hasten to add, is not nearly as much fun as I assume stopping a crackhead would be (the only principle involved for me was physics). A few months ago, I looked something like this:
Here's a pic of me looking non-suave but resolute:
And here's one (photo) of my knees looking scared s**tless a few months ago removing an unwanted pest from the backyard in the early hours of the morning:
oddbill: Yeah! you're not wrong there, I live on a coastal plain near a river and the locals think the snakes are going to high ground as there's going to be a flood this year. For scale the top of my shorts are 60cm off the ground, so about 4.5M+.
Hey I'm Luc, illustrator & designer. Live in Vancouver with my man (that's us in the photo; I'm on the right) and our dog. I blog at www.drawn.ca and I really should get off my butt this year and do something comics-oriented because I've been dying to do so since college 20 years ago and I have no excuse.
Oops, on checking this thread I noticed I failed to introduce myself. Not much to be told though, I live in Bruges, Belgium, am a male of 54 years old (but that will change a bit in time) and professional engaged as a technician. I am a faithful reader of FA since, eh, since somewhere around september 2010 when I just happened to stumble upon this great work of art. Picture of me? No, I don't want to scare most of you away. And the rest, well, that is only boring stuff, nothing extraordinary about me to tell.
Why hello, the names Josh and I just read through all of Freak Angels over this Christmas Break. I'm going to college to be an animator, and comics are a huge inspiration for me. I have to say that this one really is one of the best I've ever read and I'm happy to start calling my fridays Freakangel Fridays for a long time to come.
Hey folks, good to meet y'all, at least in the digital sense. I'm Alejandro and I'm a horrible mess, I've no job, few friends, I've been kicked out of multiple schools (including college, well done, me!), I'm a veteran of multiple failed punk bands and kind of hate myself. On the upside I'm kinda cute and have interesting hair so thats something. Anyways, I'm really digging Freakangels and I'll keep on reading it for as long as dear old Uncle Warren keeps writing it.
