This might interest some of you: the Iron Sky movie project needs help in designing posters for film noir movies from 20s, 30s and 40s, movies that could have been but aren't real. These designs will be used in a scene in the movie, that happens outside an old arthouse movie theater.
Ho! I couldn't resist, as there's a Freakangels cover illo that I designed with a noir feel in mind, and I love fucking around with fonts. If it's appropriate and you want it for the movie, unfortunately whether you can use it or not is up to Warren in the end since Kait is his property. Warren?
Damn, that looks nice! Submitting this to Wreckamovie is probably not an option (here's our EULA) but we'd be more than happy to use the image if Warren consents - we'll just need the permit in writing.
Consider this timestamped post as written permission to use the Paul Duffield image featuring my IP element "Kaitlyn" from FREAKANGELS as background dressing in the film project IRON SKY. I can be further contacted at warrenellis@gmail.com.
Paul D. and Warren - in case the e-mail went to an electronic limbo of some sort, our legal guys want to have a signed permit to use the poster in the set dressing, to be used globally and not expiring (basically meaning that we can publish the movie and the trailers anywhere in the world and keep selling it until the sun goes supernova :). As we are dealing with a lot of content we get online and from multitude of sources, they want to be quite careful and clear about all this - sorry for the hassle.
Thor willing, we are shooting the scene in eight hours - yesterday we got attacked by a freak snowstorm that made them close highways around Frankfurt area, as far as I know, so who knows :S
EDIT: Okay, just got the word - Frankfurt looks like Siberia, so we'll have to move the scene over to Australia.
