I was delighted to discover that one of my most intense concert experiences of 2010 is inexplicably available on amazon.

    Throat by Little Women

Two saxophones, one guitar, and drums poured in a beaker and agitated, creating an unstable wall of sound that occasionally precipitates jazz chords before breaking apart again. She's not exactly easy listening, but she's a kind mistress who will reward you after she's had her way.

    It starts like this:

And it ends with the saxophonists having literally taken their instruments apart, just screaming at each other.

I watched them play the album in a concert in my friend's kitchen in Queens. Jaw-dropping.

Often find myself at this when I don't have to be at work in the morning. One of those extremely skilled guitar guys. I'd say he's a virtuoso, and he is, but it's more his composition that amazes me. You can get more notes per second from Kottke or Zappa.
  6.  (9272.37)
65daysofstatic - We were exploding anyway
    Depeche Mode - Exciter
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Raise Yr Skinny Fists

    Deftones - Diamond Eyes
The Sisters of Mercy - Floodland

Crystal Castles ft. Robert "Mad Bob" Smith - Not In Love

Vintermusik - consume once daily to ensure proper disjointedness of being.

got the 10 year (although its closer to 11...) reissue of SPAZZ-crush kill destroy

new art, new insert, nice yellow vinyl. i would like to lie and say it sounds better, but in truth it just sounds like the difference between my old copy being on cd and the new one being vinyl. so, still a step up, but i doubt its the mastering or anything.
