First, I just want to say that I'm going to read the comic no matter what, so no one needs to worry about this great comic possibly having one less reader. I guess there could be a world-ending ...
Anyway, I read the archive over the last 3-4 days and it is great great great. But it does seem like it might be more fun to read as a novel than in installments. At the same time, its so good, and I would feel kinda silly being intentionally behind on art I enjoy. So basically I'm paralyzed by indecision. Right now the only two long story webcomics I read are Order of the Stick and Erfworld (not that anyone cares about my review, but I would say Freakangels is by far the most consistent at this point, but that there is nothing quite like peak period Erfworld). Anyway, for background data, I find it much less satisfying to read those one at a time, but I do, because I can't help it. With them though, there is a joke (sometimes funny, sometimes not) to keep it more self contained. I guess the comparison would be how gorgeous this art is to stare at, but I personally am less of a visual person than average.
Well, I'm starting to ramble, but I guess my question is, if you had the patience to read this comic one Volume at a time, would you?]]>

I surely would. This is real high-class material which can be "consumed" any way you like: either all at once or in separate volumes. That's one of the great advantages of this series.

If you read it fast and all at once you merely follow the storyline, which is well-developed so it offers enough grip to keep one attentive. But if you decide to take it piece by piece over some time you give yourself the opportunity to grab the thoughts behind the surface, the double angles, the underlying messages and philosofies, which are also very interesting.]]>
