    If I singled out all the photographers in this thread who have impressed me, I'd take up too much space and wind up naming just about all of you anyway, so I'll just go with a hearty collective "Bravo." You've inspired me both to look through my library a little and see if I can't find anything that hasn't seen daylight yet and to pick my cameras back up and leave the house to shoot something.

    Aw man, you guys are awesome. I also probably just got on an arse-eels list. I don't care—the puppies are worth it.

    Ms Dorkmuffin, all you need to do now is dig down to the sunken remains of the vile hugging thread and post a little comment about how awesome it was...

    @Yoav - Thank you, kindly.
    Lately I've been doing a sort of digital collage where I use only my own photographs as source material. This particular one combines that main shot (taken in a courtyard from a flat overlooking it) with shots I took from a moving train during a rainstorm. So that vignette effect is actually an overlaid image where I extracted the shot up to the tree lines (as in I cut out the sky from the photo).

    I've been combining dance images with train images for reasons that make sense in my head but when I try to articulate them so far it basically results in me waving my hands around and saying things about motion, travel, architecture, and relating to things by moving through them.
    So, uh, you know. I'm interested in structure and transition. And in this image I'm also thinking a bit about the human body as sculpture reflecting the geometry of the surrounding architecture.

    Since I am the instigator of the puppies, feel like I ought to contribute.

    Photo is from the first time I took my Holga out (like... 5 years ago now??)

    oldhat's puppy FTW! Lovely work everyone.

    Here's one from the electronica gig I attended last night. I need a new portraiture lense, but my 50mm fixed isn't too shabby.

    @256 yes, some of the px600 first flush. Didn't light shield it and it has some of the killer crystal decay, but I like how it captures the world.

    The next post after this starts a new page, which will be dramatically easier to load.

    That is, until it's filled up with more wonderful pictures.
