Could you give us a breakdown of the evolution of your music taste from childhood to present? -
When you were growing up, were you or any family members fans of British Pro Wrestling? Do you have thoughts or memories of watching Big Daddy? Kendo Nagasaki? Lock Ness? Mark " Rollerball" Rocco?

I remember almost all of them. Lock Ness doesn't ring any bells, but... add to the list Giant Haystacks, Mick McManus... Saturday afternoons at my nan's house while my parents were out shopping, beans on toast and the wrestling on World Of Sport.
I wonder if anyone else here has a clue what we're talking about. -

I remember British Pro Wrestling. I'm probably dating myself a bit; I can recall Jackie "Mr TV" Pallo wrestling in the early 70's, and the ruckus he caused when he released his autobiography in 1985. -

When composing the first issue of a new comics serial, what I'm most aware of is that it's the first chapter of a finite work. I'm writing a book, just in pieces. BUT due to the requirements of serial, it also needs to somehow encapsulate more of the entire work than the first chapter of a novel might. It's a bit of a tightrope, and I often fall off. There's no checklist. There's getting the story started off in the way that the story requires, and then there's looking for ways to work more content into the interstitials to give more of a flavour of what the serial is really about.

So, words/balloon, words/panel, words/page, I know the rules of thumb for those. What's your thinking on how many panels/page you go for these days? Also, how much thought do you put into the number of... call them "focal points," specific elements you're asking an artist to draw (a figure, an expression, a prop, an action/gesture, a background element, etc.)... in a panel or on a page?
(Forgive me, you've got a really amazing economy of motion in your work, and I'm trying hard to reverse-engineer it.) -

Books: What's your bookcases look like? How many and what ratio of fiction to non? What does the non-fiction encompass? What's your bookbuying habits like? Have some locals that you like to browse, or you get a name or a recommendation and head to Amazon? Have re-read favorites (other than the Thompson and Ellison that's you've mentioned in the past)? Much of a fine/first edition collector, or is it just reader copies? Do you lend, purge, or keep? Got a list of Read This And You'll Be Better For It books recommendations?

You produce a massive amount of work spread throughout multiple companies and I'm pretty sure you practically run Avatar publishing at this point. My question is on a day to day basis, how do you manage this sort of immense workload? -

Warren, you're one of the most publicly available (for want of a better phrase) creators I'm aware of. Was that a conscious decision or something that evolved over time? And have your methods for coping with abusive or nonsensical communications from readers changed over the years or is ignoring that sort of thing still the best option?

Hello Mr Ellis, i'm french and i have thirty something books wrote by you now, almost all of it is translated in french.
I wondered if you were able to know the part of income you have from france.
Does the paycheck you get from royalties gives you details about geographical origins of your readers.
If you have this sort of intel, do we french readers represent to you something meaningfull in terms of audience or if not at least money ?
I hope your next novel will be translated quicker than "Crooked little veins" in France, it's good to have it but boring to wait for it when it is already published in english.
Are you interrested in making your work availlable in any foreign language and spread your words around or do you just let your agent deal with that ?
