    if I haven't said already, happy new year (at least I hope it's happy, it's been a hell of a lot better starting 2011 than 2010 for me) to you and everyone on here.

    Have you ever, or ever considered, farming out an idea for a story to another writer because you're just too damned busy? As in you have a great idea for a character and a plot but look at all of your other projects and say, "this would be a fucking great story, but I won't be able to get to it for about 5 more years, xxxxxx would do it well, I'll call and see if he/she wants to do it."

    No idea, sorry. Mimimal, I would imagine.

    Are you interrested in making your work availlable in any foreign language and spread your words around or do you just let your agent deal with that ?

    It's a combination of agents and foreign-rights salespeople trying to sell it, and finding publishers who are actually interested. It's not something I can deal with personally.

    Yes. In fact, I was contacted once by a BBC-related producer about adapting MINISTRY OF SPACE into audio. I said yes (so long as Chris was happy.) Never heard from them again.

    Much less. A combination of age, winning some battles, learning to pick my battles and seeing things get contextualised by time. I still GET angry, a LOT, but I don't wake up angry and go to bed angry anymore.

    Nah. There have been some narrow misses over the last few years, but at this point I don't expect it to happen.

    Meh. I like them, and style aside, there's a sort of informed derision in a lot of their lyrics that reminds me of Warren. Never thought of it that way before last night.

    Once you've thrown an idea in the "For Later" bin, does it ever just disappear? Do you ever come across notes you've thrown down and then said to yourself "Shit, this should have gone in ______"? Or do you have some sort of mutant power that just lets you remember all your kickass ideas?

    Actually, the biggest thing was this: explaining to them that we don't need meetings. That after a certain early point, it's just doing the work and filing it. That was a bit weird for them, I think, to find that we didn't need to get together every two weeks or whatever.
